Labels are always trying to come up with new and innovative ways for people to get in touch with the music being released on the label, and to actually go out and buy them. But with this brand new concept from Kindergarten Records, it seems they have come up with one of the cleverest concepts yet.
Being released on February 17th is the first, in a 3-part “Spirit Animal” concept series. Each single will be represented visually by a different cosmic, mysterious animal, depicted in the chart below. The first single, Popeska ft. Denny White’s ‘Heart of Glass‘, is represented by a blue, magical horse. The other 2 animals are a giraffe and an owl, but we cannot see the description of them yet.

When ‘I AM‘ was signed at ADE last year, it is unknown whether Axwell and Sick Individuals knew just how massive this song would become. Axwell then debuted it during his New Years Eve set, and ever since, this track has been a standout among many in 2013. Now, nearly a year later, fans can finally get their hands on one of the biggest tracks of the year.
What makes ‘I AM‘ such a formidable track is the use of the euphoric synth melodies combined with the big room energy and the electro bass line. Plus, Axwell made another massive discovery when he found Taylr Renee, the California lyricists and vocalists whose soothing yet powerful vocals helped drive this song into the hearts of thousands around the world.
With the lifting spirits that ‘I AM’ has created, Axwell and Sick Individuals have secured their spots for one of the biggest tracks of 2013. Now, you can get your copy of ‘I AM‘ today on Ultra Records. Buy Track Here
Marquee is one of the signature nightclubs in Las Vegas. Constantly being voted as one of the best nightclubs in the world and bringing some of the biggest and best DJs in the world, Marquee is one-of-a-kind. Back in February, they opened a new location in New York that has been receiving a great amount of buzz. But according to one reddit user, a startling and disturbing attacked occurred at the nightclub this past Friday night.
On November 15th, Marco Corola was performing at Marquee New York. According to reddit user lg1163, one of her friends was violently attacked at the nightclub. The user stated that a friend walked through someones bottle service area to go grab a drink at the bar. That did not sit well with one of the patrons at the table, and a male in a black v-neck smashed a bottle of liquor and beat the girl while she was on the ground. The girl was taken outside covered in blood and had to be rushed to the hospital. She need to get 6 stitches, had a concussion, and bruising and swelling around her face. The reddit user said police were called but would not enter within Marquee New York.
This is a very disturbing incident. Other reddit users have commented saying that they had seen someone leaving the club covered in blood, so we can assert that the incident is real. No word has been released by Marquee New York, but we will keep you covered when more information is released. Read the reddit post and some comments about the incident below.

Today, Lady Gaga released her newest single ‘Do What You Want‘ featuring R. Kelly. While most talk has been about Lady Gaga and Zedd, ‘Do What You Want’ deserves just as much attention as it was produced by one of the rising stars of the dance music scene DJ Snake. DJ Snake has been getting critical attention with the release of his newest single ‘Turn Down The What‘ featuring Lil’ John and getting picked up for a national commercial for SOL speakers.
‘Do What You Want‘ is a masterful production. Featuring low, vibrating bass lines, a smooth drum progression and a synth progression helping power the track through the chorus, makes the track very pop for Lady Gaga, but still has a deep, dark feel the entire time. What is really special about this production is that DJ Snake crafted the song perfectly so that Lady Gaga and R. Kelly can both show their range and have their vocals compliment the production throughout the entire track. When listening to ‘Do What You Want’ it feels like DJ Snake was listening to the Drive soundtrack, as this production could be featured in that movie.
If you had to choose between Zedd and DJ Snake, I would give the upper hand to DJ Snake the entire time. ‘Do What You Want‘ is an incredible piece of work that really shows DJ Snake’s range. ‘Do What You Want‘ is out today ahead of her newest album, ARTPOP, available November 11th.
Trance is a genre of dance music that speaks to almost everyone who listens. People form a bond with the music. It brings out more emotion that a country singer singing a ballad about his fridge running out of beer. One name synonymous with all of this is last years #1 DJ in America, Markus Schulz.
