Recently featured in Dazed Spring issue alongside Bala Club co-founders Uli K and Kamixlo, Endgame releases ‘Savage EP’ via New York label Purple Tape Pedigree. It’s his second release on from from his self titled EP last year, and last month’s remix for Iydes. ‘XOX’ could easily be a Future Brown instrumental, especially with the Al Qadiri chords near the close. Whereas the serrated riff on ‘Savage Riddim’ swarm into your ears like nanomachines by the thousands, tasting blood and making their way south clogging up precious alloyed metal windpipes. The pattern on ‘NXN’ mirrors that of the opening track, but with lighter tones of mist and vapor underneath. All killer. Listen below, artwork from Kyselina Ost, label design by Amad Ilyas.

Up and coming independent label Push & Run return with their second EP of free bootlegs, Tings In Boots II, and they’re releasing a new track from it every day in a different place. We here at Abeano are lucky to have the collaborative effort between gloomy Welshman Ifan Dafydd and enigmatic producer Catching Flies. Don’t Know How features Dafydd’s usual catchy vocal sampling/ pitching interspersed with simple drums, bright, fuzzy chords and fluttering wooden xylophone. Real, real nice (AND downloadable):

Bobby Womack tourmate and digitally soulful artist in his own right Kwes is set to release his debut album ilp. later this year (14 October). It comes after his impressive Meantime EP last year, and there’s a brand new track to come with the announcement, the sweeping and slightly delicate 36. Opening with skittish drums, grand piano and a balmy bassline, Kwes comes in with slightly touched up, honey-dipped vocals:

After the icy collaboration with Fatima Al Qadiri last week, Visionist is back, with EP I’m Fine out next month (3 September). New tune Lost is a spookily arranged and unnerving, spectral vocals and sparse percussions occasionally broken by a quiet and maligned bass line:

This has been good week for slightly serious faced music. From Fatima Al Qadiri and Visionist’s brooding collaboration to King Krule’s always-impassioned Easy Easy, with vizualz, it’s time to put the bubble wand and the novelty hula skirt down and get down to some serious thinking about this here music. Here’s all of the good bits:

Never-stationary beat maker and rapper Lil Ugly Mane has released a three-track tape of unreleased material, beats and junk, which can be downloaded for a price of your choice on Bandcamp. Each track is roughly 15-20 minutes long and features a strong variety of instrumentals, samples and other excellent tidbits. It’s rap magic from start to finish:

Two of the underground’s most exciting prospects from both sides of the Atlantic have joined forces. Brixton’s Visionist and New-Yorker-by-way-of-Kuwait teamed up for The Call, which features both artists trademarks in spades, Fatima’s ghostly church hall melodies and Visionist’s icy minimalism. Proper pairing:

Backed up by the deservedly rising SOHN, LA’s Banks returns with epic new track Waiting Game ahead of a bumper US tour supporting The Weeknd. It starts with echoed piano balladry before launching into a cinematic electronic fuzz, with her sweet-but-serious voice slicing through it:

Willis Earl Beal has shared a ‘response to Lana Del Rey’ on his tumblr The Book Of Nobody. The original ballad (leaked last month) was rumoured to be a cut

from Lana’s as-yet-untitled second album, but here the Chicago singer takes the lead and lays a sad, charming and strong vocal over her ghostly coos of “life is beautiful”.

Willis Earl Beal’s new album ‘Nobody knows’ is out on HxC on Sep 9 (UK) with track ‘Too Dry To Cryavailable to DL now.

It has been a long time coming but London’s Factory Floor are finally releasing their self titled debut on September 9 via DFA. Until then get warmed up with previous single ‘Two Different Ways’ (one of the best tracks of 2011) and the oscillating, warped but still arms-in-the-air bounce of ‘Turn It Up’. Play very loud, obviously.

If you’ve watched any of twigs’ videos for 2012′s self-released EP1 (or follow her on Instagram – if you don’t do that now) you’ll know that she’s consistently pairing her spectral sound with equally WOW visuals. This new cut is no exception. Sad, glitchy and fascinating, just like the digital tear of Jesse Kanda’s clip, Kanye producer and NYC UNO’s Arca plays it minimal and disorientating while Twigs (who also produces and is now renamed as FKA twigs) shows off that room-silencing voice with lines like “I told him water me” . Download ‘Water Me’ from iTunes from midnight. It features on the forthcoming ‘EP2′, out 9th September via Young Turks.

As part of Warm Up (an event series taking place at New York, Long Island City Gallery Moma PS1) they’ve prepped a 44 minute mix featuring their own material plus friends and collaborators including Hoss Records’ DJ Dog Dick, London producer Visionist, King Krule, Wavy Spice and Miami art-rappers Metro Zu. Listen below. If you’re lucky enough to be over-the-sea and in the area, Ratking play Warm Up on August 3 alongside Marcellus Pittman, Numbers’ Jackmaster, Dre Skull and Fade To Mind’s Rizzla. Future days feature UK artists including Julio Bashmore and Hyetal (Aug 10), Darq E Freaker (Aug 17), Caribou (Aug 24), Lil Silva and Jon Hopkins (Aug 31).

Tell you what this video makes us think of – it’s like Silva is inside his *own body* and is surrounded by blood cells and stuff. Imagine if you could go inside your own body? Nuts. Anyway, these are the visuals for his excellently varied and nuanced tune No Doubt, with Rosie Lowe on the vocals, and is part of his new EP The Distance, which is out next month (5 August):

The producers of the best track on A$AP Rocky’s iffy album, the intriguing Fashion Killa, and long time Main Attrakionz collaborators are set to release a tape of their instrumentals, DX, the first single of which is Poly, continuing their dreamy wave of vocally chopped, pad-filled stratospherics. It’s downloadable, along with similarly purrdy 8AM and If U Knew:

Big man Willis has a new record out this year, the grammar-light Nobody knows. (there’s a full stop in the album title so we’ll put another one right here ->). His new track Too Dry To Cry is a powerfully soulful and distinctively old-sounding, with simple, rumbling drums and a twanging, quiet guitar line:

Arca, the enigmatic producer who collaborated with Kayne West on Yeezus and has worked with the equally secretive Twigs, has released what appears to be a mix tape of original material on this website. The back drop is a freakish flesh mass on chop-stick legs as neurotic, cavernous beats and upset melodies scream out.

The creators of the infectious and popular Reverse Skydiving are back with a new smooth shaker, Isis (Magic Carpet Ride). A house-tinged soulful pop track, it’s got a balmy cruise feel to it, through a nice bit of Cairo (cuz a lot of it is a bit rubbish, not all pyramids and that you know? Disappointing.):
