Todd Terje has already delivered one of the standout LPs of the year with It’s Album Time, and now he’s out to ace the music video game too. The Norwegian producer has teamed up again with director Espen Friberg to make something eye-catching for his disco jam “Delorean Dynamite,” and the result is textbook Terje.

The “Delorean Dynamite” video doubles as a classifieds ad for a guy called Frank in Norway. As it turns out, Frank owns a DeLorean DMC-12, produced in the early 1980s and immortalized as the time machine from Back To The Future. Now the proud owner is looking to sell his iconic vehicle, so you can marvel at it cruising those Norwegian roads with “Delorean Dynamite” as the soundtrack.
Serious prospective buyers can check out the classifieds ad before emailing Frank at delorean_dynamite@hotmail.com. (All this is real, by the way.) Enjoy the unlikely used car advertisement below. We look forward to whatever Todd Terje does next.

Morrissey details new album, World Peace Is None Of Your Business
…and it has some of the most Morrisseyesque song titles ever.

Morrissey took a brief respite from making inflammatory statements to announce his new album, World Peace Is None Of Your Business, last month.

Produced by Joe Chiccarelli (The Strokes, Tori Amos, The Shins), Morrissey is said to be "beyond ecstatic" with the follow-up to 2009′s Years of Refusal. The album is due out in July via Capitol’s Harvest imprint, and we now have the tracklist, via True To You.

‘Kick The Bride Down The Aisle’? ‘Earth Is The Loneliest Planet’? Never change, Moz.

2 Neal Cassady Drops Dead (4:02)

Jack White plans "World's Fastest Released Record"

White’s latest Record Store Day stunt may be his most ambitious yet.
While past Record Store Days have seen Jack White experiment with helium balloons, 3 RPM records and antique voice-o-graph booths, this year finds the ex-White Stripe shortening the record release process to one day.
On the morning of April 19, White will play Third Man Records’ blue room and record new single ‘Lazaretto’ “direct-to-acetate.” The masters will be rushed to United Record Pressing, who will begin pressing 45s, which will be stuffed into sleeves printed from pictures of the show. The 45s will be brought back to Third Man to sell to fans, and “as long as there are fans in line waiting to buy the single, United will continue to press and deliver them to Third Man to sell. Even if it takes all day.”

As is to be expected, tickets are extremely limited and will be exclusively available to Third Man Records Vault to Platinum Members. Head to Third Man’s site for more info. Earlier this week, White announced his new album, Lazaretto, due out on June 9 via Third Man / XL.

Up until now, Todd Terje's musical home has existed between 100 and 130 BPM, a moderately lively location for any dedicated practitioner of classic disco edits and remixes. For his and Bryan Ferry's cover of Robert Palmer's "Johnny and Mary", whizzed right past his usual stomping grounds, and brought the bubbly song down to the quiet, dimly lit corner of 62 BPM. Opening with light flurries of starry synths and a bare, snapping beat reinforced by subtle low-end, Terje's production meditates on the same wistful undertones in the original "Johnny and Mary": melodies lilt and billow in slow motion, seemingly transfixed by the memories evoked through Bryan Ferry's smoke-worn croon.
The Roxy Music icon delivers Palmer's story of love and self-fulfillment like it was written about his own past, all distant and aching with experience, and the producer coaxes those pensive emotions to swell larger and larger with each woosh of sweeping arpeggiations and spacey guitar trail. On their "Johnny and Mary", Terje and Ferry deliver a lovingly dedicated homage and a remarkable discovery of a classic song's hidden possibilities.

Much of Jerome Potter's output, first as a LOL Boy andnow as a solo artist, has been polyamorous and winsome, flirting with an assortment of styles without ever finding a fixed home. Dancehall fritters, grin-inducing early house, chart pop and plenty more have been molten and pooled into different casings to see what worked. That approach reached its logical conclusion on this month's very good Deleted/Fool EP, setting into a lumpen object you could actually grip.

"Fool" is the emotional bedrock of the good four-tracker, a more contemplative turn for the usually happy-go-lucky producer. Potter once again calls upon frequent collaborator Angelina Lucero, this time to express a deep disconnect that appears to weigh heavy on his shoulders: her voice, given a subtly modulated taint, lands wonkily where you'd expect a clean connection. The upper-register harmonies are affixed to a beat with a low centre of gravity that trundles along like a misshapen stone wheel down a dimly-lit street. Make no mistake, this is still the kind of bright cut we've come to expect from him, but the sprinkles of xylophone and clean synth washes feel like fragments of a recently-recalled, closed-off past; the colour, for once, has been muted.
