2013 has seen Death to Genres rise to new heights. The Miami-based duo of Julio Mejia and Matt van Toth, better known as GTA, have had a year unlike any other. They have traveled the world touching almost every continent while on tour with Rihanna and Chris Lake to name a few. GTA has also had some massive releases with tracks like ‘Yolohton‘ and ‘The Crowd‘. Both tracks were released on Calvin Harris’ Fly Eye Records. Now, they have their final release out now on the label with ‘Bola’. GTA have created a behemoth of a track with ‘Bola‘. The track features unrelenting beats, powerful basslines, switching between the sound of electro, moombahton, trap, and more. The rhythm of the song just busts through your body and forces you to dance and jump to the banging beat-pattern of the drums. GTA have showcased why they are one of the hottest names in 2013.

I thought this was a joke at first. Someone teaching you how to dance in a club. But no, its not. This guy, Chi "Club Dance King" Szeto, thinks he can teach you how to dance to, well, dance music. Apparently, he has a whole series of videos where he thinks he can show you how to dance in a club, pick up chicks in the club, and much more. I see this, and I am scared for humanity and the people who have actually bought these DVDs. This is what it says on his website where this video is located. Again, this is not a joke.
Use this bounce move or "jack in the box" when dancing to EDM/Electronic/Rave/Techno music.

Yesterday, the MTV EMA‘s took place and MTV had one very special correspondent…Mr. Ron Burgandy himself. In one video segment, Ron Burgandy travels around Amsterdam with “two inexplicable continentals from space,” Daft Punk. Ron Burgandy and Daft Punk take a boat ride, ride a three-person bike, and visit a shop where they sell those wooden shoes. At the end of the video, Ron leaves Daft Punk who are too busy eating pastries with some beautiful women. We don’t know how it took us so long to notice this video, but we are sure glad Conan O’Brien was able to point it out.
In today’s popular music in the dance scene, it seems that all the music is starting to sound the same in the eyes of a lot of people. Many DJs have spoken out about this, and now, you can add trance DJ tyDi to the list of people. tyDi earlier today went on a little mini-rant on his Facebook about the same sound coming out from all the DJs. “I’m legitimately worried about the future of EDM… If producers don’t change this whole approach of copying what’s ‘cool’ we could collectively sink this ship very quickly.” He also did a quick word to new producers out there, “Music speaks so loudly, it really can act like a drug, it can send shivers down your spine. I urge any new producers to PLEASE open your minds when you produce records, don’t reference what’s currently selling, just think about what you want to achieve.” Read the full rant down below.

Today, Krewella has released the brand new video for their track ‘Live For The Night’. The video is a statement for people being addicted to their media resources. Whether it be television, phones, computers or whatever. So Krewella takes over the power plant and disrupts everything. Kind of funny though, because there is massive product placement for the Sony Xperia Z phone. But still, the song is amazing and you just can’t helped but get hypnotized by Jahan and Yasmine.
