Electric Zoo is Returning to New York City ‘Transformed’ in 2015 Posted: 16 Dec 2014 01:00 PM PST Next year, New York City’s stalwart Electric Zoo festival is set to shake things up. Festival organizers have now made plans official to bring ‘Electric Zoo: Transformed’ to the familiar stomping grounds of Randall’s Island on Labor Day weekend, September 4-6, 2015. The impending ‘transformation’ sees Made Event collaborating with international dance music powerhouse ID&T, the force behind events like Mysteryland, Sensation, Tomorrowland, Q-dance and TomorrowWorld. The next evolution of Electric Zoo will feature the spectacular production ID&T is renowned for, accompanied by what’s sure to be another genre-crossing line-up. In 2014, the likes of Armin van Buuren, Dada Life, Knife Party and Zedd led the dual main stages, before severe weather got in the way of the Sunday finale. Elsewhere around the grounds, the Sunday School Grove hosted an elite cast of house and techno luminaries (not to mention the ‘Vinyl Only’ stage), alongside sets from Madeon, Destroid, Sub Focus and more at the Hilltop Arena. Tickets for Electric Zoo: Transformed will go on sale January 14, 2015 exclusively for MasterCard holders and January 15, 2015 to the general public. Preview: RAM – Kingdom of Dreams Posted: 18 Feb 2014 01:36 PM PST Last year, RAM had one of the biggest tracks of 2013. ‘RAMelia‘ was a track played by every DJ around the world, even though the circumstances for the creation of the track are not the happiest one. But RAM put those memories and emotions into a track that swept over the world and has since become an instant classic. Now, RAM is following that up with his newest release ‘Kingdom of Dreams‘. ‘Kingdom of Dreams’ will be released on A State of Trance records, part of Armada, and is also going to be featured on Armin van Buuren’s ASOT 2014 Mix Compilation. The track opens with a choir of vocals and dark, ominous string, before unloading into a pick-me-up melody topline and building into an all-out excitement break. There is no word when RAM will be releasing ‘Kingdom of Dreams‘.

Listen To The DJ Snake Produced Track For Lady Gaga Feat. R. Kelly ‘Do What You Want’ Posted: 21 Oct 2013 02:29 PM PDT Today, Lady Gaga released her newest single ‘Do What You Want‘ featuring R. Kelly. While most talk has been about Lady Gaga and Zedd, ‘Do What You Want’ deserves just as much attention as it was produced by one of the rising stars of the dance music scene DJ Snake. DJ Snake has been getting critical attention with the release of his newest single ‘Turn Down The What‘ featuring Lil’ John and getting picked up for a national commercial for SOL speakers. ‘Do What You Want‘ is a masterful production. Featuring low, vibrating bass lines, a smooth drum progression and a synth progression helping power the track through the chorus, makes the track very pop for Lady Gaga, but still has a deep, dark feel the entire time. What is really special about this production is that DJ Snake crafted the song perfectly so that Lady Gaga and R. Kelly can both show their range and have their vocals compliment the production throughout the entire track. When listening to ‘Do What You Want’ it feels like DJ Snake was listening to the Drive soundtrack, as this production could be featured in that movie. If you had to choose between Zedd and DJ Snake, I would give the upper hand to DJ Snake the entire time. ‘Do What You Want‘ is an incredible piece of work that really shows DJ Snake’s range. ‘Do What You Want‘ is out today ahead of her newest album, ARTPOP, available November 11th.

Released today through Garuda, each remix of ‘Black Hole‘ offers something special to everyone who listens to it. Blake Jarrell creates a big progressive version of the track that is set to rock any dance floor or festival across the world with its darker, harder sound. Jorn Van Deynhoven went in an opposite direction, make a powerful, uplifting version that has been blazing the sets of almost every DJ in the trance scene. The official ASOT Ibiza Closing Party at Privilege has officially been cancelled. ASOT has released a statement stating that a terrible accident has accured to one of the crew members who was helping getting the setup ready for the performance. No word on what condition the crew member is in, but we will keep you updated on what is going on as more information comes in. Due to a terrible accident that happened to one of the crew members during the buildup at Privilege, we have to cancel the event. It would not feel right to celebrate or party. We're very sorry to disappoint the ASOT fans, who travelled to Ibiza from all across the globe to witness this night. Visitors can get a refund of their tickets at the door of Privilege tonight.
