Last year, RAM had one of the biggest tracks of 2013. ‘RAMelia‘ was a track played by every DJ around the world, even though the circumstances for the creation of the track are not the happiest one. But RAM put those memories and emotions into a track that swept over the world and has since become an instant classic. Now, RAM is following that up with his newest release ‘Kingdom of Dreams‘. ‘Kingdom of Dreams’ will be released on A State of Trance records, part of Armada, and is also going to be featured on Armin van Buuren’s ASOT 2014 Mix Compilation. The track opens with a choir of vocals and dark, ominous string, before unloading into a pick-me-up melody topline and building into an all-out excitement break. There is no word when RAM will be releasing ‘Kingdom of Dreams‘. |

It hasn’t even been a year since the super group of Swedish House Mafia broke up, but yet, people are still asking whether or not the trio will be getting back together sometime soon. Well don’t worry because we can safely say…they are not. In a recent interview Axwell did with Australian dance music blog inthemix, he confidently stated that Swedish House Mafia will not be getting back together. When asked about a reunion tour, Axwell said, “No, I don't think so. It's hard to say, but that's how it is now. I haven't really started to miss Swedish House Mafia yet, because it's only been so short.” |

Life in Color has jumped on the festival band wagon and had their first ever event in Washington DC last month. The epic Showtek brothers recorded their live mix from the event packed with progressive house and electro bangers. A little bit too much MC action in the begining on this for our taste, but all in all it’s a sweet set. Check it out.

It was just last week that we announced that Empire of the Sun will be releasing their brand new single ‘DNA‘ is the coming weeks. It was on Friday that we showcased you the first remix from the package featuring Calvin Harris. Now we have the opportunity to show off another one, this time coming from one of house biggest superstars. Alex Metric is one of the biggest names in groove house as we speak. This British DJ has remixed everyone from Depeche Mode, Bloc Party, Phoenix, La Roux and more. Now, Alex Metric has created a remix that might be one of the best ones of the year. Opening up his remix of ‘DNA‘ with a smooth drum progression, Alex incorporates a low underlying synth progression that slowly and steadily builds up till the chorus and the break. With an intense yet groovy drum rhythm and a topline that is instantly memorable, this remix of ‘DNA’ stands out among anything that has been released so far this year. This much anticipated release of ‘DNA‘ from Alex Metric will be available September September 24th. |
