While everyone's readying for the booming, big-room madness of the now sold-out Tomorrowland Belgium, those with more specialized electronic tastes have all eyes on the country's Dour Festival.
Scheduled just one week before Tomorrowland, the Dour Festival will take place over five days from July 15-19 in its namesake city, which is located just over 70 miles southwest of Boom. Organizers have released the first names to play the festival, and it's a varied blend of styles ranging from techno and electronica to rap and beyond. James Holden, Kangkarussell, Nozinja, Rone and Simian Mobile Disco are some of the names handling the live performance end of the festival, while artists playing DJ sets include Innervisions heads Âme and Dixon, Life & Death co-founder DJ Tennis, Autechre, Jon Hopkins, Nina Kraviz and Pan-Pot, in addition to Cashmere Cat, High Contrast, Flume and Julio Bashmore. Check out the initial line-up for Dour Festival below, and expect more names to drop in the coming weeks. |
