Baja-born, Barcelona-based deep house hero Louie Fresco has been dedicated, diligently working hard, and perfecting his musical craft for years. Recently, the MEXA label honcho unveiled the fruits of all that blood, sweat, and studio tears — his Autophobia album on No. 19 featuring catchy standout singles like "White Sugar" and "So Good." Beatport News was fortunate enough to catch up with this hard-working DJ producer in the Catalan capital where we chatted about his early life in Mexicali, "remixing" Hot Creations' Lee Foss, his upcoming whirlwind tour, and so much more.

Influential Brazilian producer Gui Boratto has returned with his fourth album Abaporu that will be released this September on tastemaking Cologne-based dance label Kompakt. Since his 2007 debut LP Chromophobia, Boratto's always delivered his own distinct flavor to Kompakt's signature pop-techno sound. For its part, Abaporu explores the space "where European and indigenous influences would collide in the most exciting manner."
