On one hand, a "throwback clip" from a year and a half ago seems kind of silly. On the other, that's just how quickly the music industry moves these days.
Back at the beginning of 2013, Scottish synth-pop band Chvrches were a much-hyped blog buzz band, who were selling out venues based on the strength of three digital singles. They didn't even have an album out. It was during this initial internet-driven brush with fame that they made their way into the Q studios to do a two-song set, and play live for the first time on Canadian airwaves.
Now, of course, Chvrches are a festival-topping big deal, but at one point, they were just some weird Scottish folks playing in our studio.
