Beatport News was fortunate enough to catch up with this hard-working DJ producer in the Catalan capital where we chatted about his early life in Mexicali, "remixing" Hot Creations' Lee Foss, his upcoming whirlwind tour, and so much more.

"I'm going to see Four Tet live ninety nine times"
“I’m going to see Four Tet live ninety nine times”
We know Four Tet elicits strong feelings in the FACT community (and for good reason), but this new Tumblr page making the rounds takes it to a new level.
As its name suggests, NinetyNineTet documents one fan’s quest to see Kieran Hebden perform live 99 times. The Tumblr appears to belong to London graphic designer Marta Dos Santos.
“People commenting on Four Tet’s FB saying I’m a creepy dude it’s the funniest thing,” she tweets. “‘That’s borderline obsessive’ is my best review yet.”

When we first heard from London newcomer IYDES earlier this year, it was in anticipation of his PHASE EP, which was then slated to see a release in February. After a bit of a delay, the UK artist's debut effort will now see its release later this month in digital and vinyl form, which is preceded by another EP cut, "Aldkrome II." Built on the back of robust, ever-morphing drum constructions, the production is both dark and spacey, intricate but unapologetically strong-armed. The tune will join four other similarly hybridized pieces of electronic music on March 31, when IYDES drops PHASE; before its fast-approaching release, however, the record can be streamed in full after the jump.
