Stateside newcomer Tapes is set to drop his Finding LP next month. Serving as out first preview, the virtually un-Googleable artist has passed along "Find Y.O.U.," a melody-rich beat which will appear on the forthcoming effort. Built around a set of skittering drums, ""Find Y.O.U." breezes through its musical movements, landing on sparkling keys, delicate melodies, and occasionally burying Craig David's "Feel Me In" beneath the glossy, skittering production.

Earlier this month, Natch label founders Synthek and Audiolouis issued their debut full-length together, Unwise. Featured here, Broken Pad" is one of 12 dense techno expeditions to appear on the record. Beginning with a pulsing pattern of kick drums, the track gradually builds into a thick sonic atmosphere—glacial pads meet sci-fi textures, which are pushed to the background by sheets of machine-made hiss and growing layers of dubbed percussion rattles.

London-via-Moscow beatmaker Lokiboi has appeared in XLR8R's Downloads section quite a bit over the past few years, but he's never quite sounded like he does on "Midnight Tempo." Here, Lokiboi hovers just above 100 bpm, lacing a shuffling four-on-the-floor beat with a mellow procession of chopped chords and murmured vocals—presumably the producer's own.
