After initially launching from San Francisco in 2010, the Rock It Science Laboratories imprint (or RIS Labs, for short) has reemerged as a Los Angeles-based label/collective, with Give In's Slow Moves EP serving at the outpost's latest effort. The alias of LA producer/sound engineer George Cochrane, the Give In project concerns itself with detailed melodic house, of which "Saw Palmetto" is a fine example. Serving as one of two original cuts which appear on Slow Moves, the track relies on intricate percussion to initially build its momentum before Cochrane adds layers of crystalline chords, tweaked synth lines, and jazzy vocal chops to the procession. Out now, Give In's entire Slow Moves EP can be streamed via the player provided after the jump.

Serving as the closing track to Marco Bernardi's upcoming Spacejam EP and embellished with a "Pigs in Space Remix" tag, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Austrian producer's Mr. Ho's rework of "Spacejam" has plenty of galactic soundscapes on display. Underneath the remix's long, winding pads and delay-washed synth melodies, Mr.

Earlier this year, veteran French producer Laurent Garnier (who kicked off our 20 Questions feature series back in March) revived his Garnier alias for a string of EPs across a number of electronic outposts, over the past several months delivering records via Chicago's Still Music label, the Modeselektor-helmed 50Weapons imprint, French label Musique Large, and Motor City Drum Ensemble's eponymous MCDE label. Now, the time-tested producer/DJ has announced he will next land on the Hypercolour imprint with the simply titled BA371 EP.

Mumdance (a.k.a. Jack Adams) has had a prolific streak of late, releasing five singles (three of which, admittedly, have been collaborative) within the last year, along with a freshly issued joint mix album with Bristol bass stalwart Pinch. This amounts to something of a renewed burst of creativity for the London-based producer, who got his start as part of the Mad Decent stable a few years back, only to find eventually himself burnt out from touring and a period of creative stagnation. In response, Adams put himself on an extended hiatus in 2011, using the time off to refocus his artistic vision. "I just wanted to take a step back and take some time to really hone my craft," he explains. "I took a bit of time out and spent all my money on hardware, took two years to sort of sit and learn how to use it properly, and here we are." The technique appears to have worked, as Mumdance re-emerged midway through last year, reinvigorated and with a renewed focus on the grime and hardcore sounds of his youth.

Pioneer has long been at the fore of the CDJ market, with its first model released around 1994. However, since leading turntable manufacturer Technics ended production of its legendary decks, there has been a gap in the market for high-quality wheels of steel. This is all set to change, though, as Pioneer has announced its new PLX-1000 model, which will reportedly hit markets next month.

Last week saw the launch of Bristol label Parison, whose inaugural effort came in the form of a four-track EP from local producer Rope. One of two original tracks included on the record, "Slugface" (which features the talents of fellow Bristol resident Sentiment) has been reworked into a VIP mix, which does away with the brooding tune's empty spaces in favor of keeping the 135 bpm production and its mechanical percussion pushing forward at a steady roll. Out now with remixes from Klient and Boycott, Rope's full Cotham Warrior/Slugface EP can be streamed after the jump.
