As fans entered into TomorrowWorld on the third and final day, it was a sad realization that TomorrowWorld would be over at the end of the day. We didn’t want it to end. The fans didn’t want it to end. The artists didn’t want it to end. If we could live in this moment for the rest of our lives, we would be happy and content. Just to be surrounded by the music, the people, the environment, TomorrowWorld. But as they say, all good things must come to an end, and that is what happened. Not before a few surprises came and made there way to TomorrowWorld.
The festival opened up and the direction headed straight to the TranceAddict stage. There, Mixjunkies had there good friends Matt Lange, Maor Levi and Norin & Rad all playing in a row, and throwing down hard, trance sets with many incredible mashups, new tracks, and even some TOOL.
When we talked to Norin & Rad after their set, they premiered a lot of brand new Mat Zo’s tracks off of his new album Damage Control. We were also able to bust out a little Cher, which you can read all about during out interview with them coming out next week in our series of TomorrowWorld interviews.
After that, we all decided to stick together and go experience our good friends over at the OWLSA Stage and Dirty Bird Records stage. Over at OWSLA, we were able to experience the intense musical sounds of Kill Paris, KOAN Sound, Seven Lions and The M Machine, all throwing down massive beats and driving the TomorrowWorld crowd insane. We also had to see our good friends Dusky and they brought the big house beats.
We also ran into our good friend MAKJ who helped kicked off the Main Stage on the final day. Having been playing at XS all summer as part of his residency, as well as going on tour with Hardwell, and about to hit the road with Bingo Players and Bassjackers, MAKJ had one of the biggest tracks of the festival, with ‘Revolution’ with M35. It was receiving support from every major DJ at the festival including Sander van Doorn and Nicky Romero.
One of Mixjunkies’ personal favorites that we had to get across the festival to, is the Mr. Taco Bell himself, Dillon Francis. Dillon Francis threw down one of the hardest, and biggest TomorrowWorld mixes that fans heard all weekend long. His set included new tracks off his new album set for release in 2014, a new collaboration with Martin Garrix, as well as having DJ Snake hop on the stage with him.
After that, the king of twerk, Diplo put on a stellar beginning of a performance, but we could not stand there long. The #1 DJ in the world was getting set to take over the Main Stage at TomorrowWorld, as we were not going to miss out on that.
Armin van Buuren is arguably one of the best DJs the world has ever experienced and will ever see. No one has done more for the scene than him. And his TomorrowWorld set brought fans to tears. With the pounding rhythmic beats, and the melodic progressions, Armin van Buuren put on a set that was perfect for ending the night.
As the book closed, the fans rejoiced. They know that they had been part of history. There will never be a first TomorrowWorld ever again. There will never be a breath-taking, first. There will just be the memories that were made here. The new friends that people will be going home with. The music that touched our heart. And most importantly, the memory that created something special. The fans made this all possible. Through the blood, sweat and tears, TomorrowWorld 2013 will always be in our heart. Yesterday is history. Today is a gift. Tomorrow is a mystery. Words that will stick with us for the rest of our lives.
See you at TomorrowWorld 2014.

Tritonal For DJ Mag Top 100
Armin van Buuren’s Intense album is one of the greatest albums of the year. What is more impressive is the list of incredible artists that have come along and made shell-shocking remixes from W&W’s ‘This Is How It Feels Like‘, to Protoculture’s ‘Beautiful Life‘, to the brand new one from Ummet Ozcan with ‘Intense‘. Now we have another remix to add to the growing list.
Tritonal has been hinting about a new remix that they were doing for Armin van Buuren over the past couple weeks with giving any hint to which track it would actually be. Now we know that it is Armin’s track with LA vocalsit Aruna that Tritonal has given the Tritonian shakeup.
The track contains the typical Tritonal sound with massive drum bursts during the buildup, big powerful synths during the build. But then Tritonal has moved into the epic, electro-house sound completely as evident with this remix. Featuring an intense drop and a pounding rhythm with the electro-house basslines thundering the remix along majority of the time.
While in the original mix, Aruna’s vocals play a more relevant part in the song, Tritonal only uses a glimpse of them midway through the track. Aruna’s vocals are a major part of what makes ‘Won’t Let You Go‘ such a powerful, and it feels that Tritonal could have pushed those throughout the remix a lot more.
None-the-less, Tritonal has created a remix that will pop out of the speakers, and that the fans will enjoy to listen to. No word on when the remix of ‘Won’t Let You Go‘ will be released, but keep tuned here to find out.

After a successful Day 1 of TomorrowWorld, bags were packed, energy was high, and anticipation grew to see what TomorrowWorld Day 2 had in store.
Dreams of Day 1 fluttered through the heads of patrons after night 1. The lights, the music, the dancing, the attractions. There was no way to get any sleep that night because everyone just wanted to experience everything out there, but there was always so much to do, that you had to miss out on something.
First thing experienced in Day 2 of TomorrowWorld was the line of stores they had in the festival that included a Post Office, where you sent postcards to friends, a Bookstore, where you can buy a photo book, and an authentic Belgian Beer Garden with many delicious beers.
The camp grounds were something that needed to be experienced as well. Thousands of fans packed up everything and brought it with them to keep in a tent during TomorrowWorld. Rows and rows of tents scattered all over the place. The smell was something I could live without (didn’t smell very fresh). Also stories of people coming into tents at night while people were sleeping and dumping ice on them, or shaking red bull and spraying it all over the place made me relieved that I did not have to be there myself.
The camp grounds did have a very incredible marketplace where fans can buy jewelry, clothes, camp goods and more. The market place included a shower, which would cost a patron 2 tokens or roughly $5 as well as places for food. The food or drinks located throughout the festival were way over priced for the amount of money that fans already had to spend to attend.
Fans had to buy tokens to get any drinks or food. $20 bought you 9 tokens. A Budlight cost you 3 tokens, liquor drink 5 to 6 tokens, a flimsy hamburger was $5 tokens. That is almost $10 for a burger that I could have gotten for better quality at McDonald’s for $2. Eating was something that should be done before you enter the festival if you did not want to be ripped off.
But besides the attractions, today was a massive day for music. Our good friends W&W were playing the Main Stage right after the girls of NERVO. It was great catching up with these two, who have helped changed the face of dance music for the better. There are a lot of big things coming in the future for these two, so keep your eyes open as Mixjunkies will be behind them all the way.
One of the favorite stages at TomorrowWorld during Day 2 was the Anthem Stage. Mixjunkies featured artist Le Castle Vania, our dear friend Robbie Rivera, rising star Danny Avila, and many more took the stage and wowed the crowd. The headliner for the stage, Gareth Emery, threw down a set that most people had to be there to experience.
Of course, the main act that people were there for that night was Afrojack, Steve Aoki, and the combination of Afroki. After a last minute switch, Afrojack took the Main Stage at TomorrowWorld first as fans packed the mainstage more than they had the previous night. The crowd was massive and the screams were audible. Afrojack blasted the bass and fans enjoyed every moment of it. Afrojack also played his brand new track ‘The Spark‘ set to be released later this month.
Of course when Steve Aoki joined him on stage, it felt like the crowd doubled in size. Fans from all over the place started showing up to see the epic combination of Afroki. Lasting just 30 minutes, fans got to experience something only few people have. Then Steve Aoki took the stage and did what Steve Aoki does best, throw down and turned TomorrowWorld into the biggest party in the world.
But the main performance of that night was happening over the hill from the Main Stage at the Q-dance stage, where Steve Aoki Dim Mak Records artist COONE, was wowing the crowd. Throwing down the hardest hard style can go, fans were experiecing a genre that is about to blow up here in the states with one of the genres biggest artists. Putting down many tracks off of his new album, at the end of the set, fans were in shock and awe.
With Day 2 finally in the books, there was only one day left for fans to enjoy, and it was going to a day that fans will never forget.
