Martin Garrix made history this year. He became the youngest person ever to reach a Beatport #1 and became the youngest person ever to enter into the DJ Mag Top 100. His track ‘Animals‘ wowed the world and put Martin Garrix on the map as he had the biggest dance track this summer. Now, Martin Garrix has teamed up with producer Jay Hardway to created his follow up single ‘Wizard‘. Martin Garrix premiered the track at ADE while on stage with Tiesto. The new track follow the same pattern as Martin Garrix’s ‘Animal‘. It has a smooth melody progression, leading into a massive buildup. The vocal sample saying “jump” then leads into the unique electro house sound that Martin Garrix used to make ‘Animals‘ such a smash hit. Knowing the clout that Martin Garrix has around his name and signature sound right now, ‘Wizard‘ should be an incredible follow up single. More details to be released soon. |

It’s about time for another sweet mixtape from Bassnectar. His last Freestyle mixtape was off the chain so when we saw this set was posted about a month ago we kicked ourselves pretty damn hard for not featuring it. But the mix stands the test of time… well only a month but it’s still damn good. Hear for yourself, this tape is badass. GET SIDE 2

In America, everyone knows that the central dance music hubs are Los Angeles, Miami, and New York. But one of the fasted growing scenes has to be that in Philadelphia. An ever growing hub of dance music, this Halloween is going to be one not to miss. Taking over the Electric Factory will be the talented Infected Mushroom. Born and raised in Isreal, the duo of Erez Eisen and Amit Duvdevani now reside in LA where they have worked closely with Steve Aoki and his Dim Mak Records. Below is a preview written by our pal Eliana about the FungusAmongUs 3D visual tour set to make its way over to Philadelphia. THE MUSICInfected Mushroom oozes passion, power, and energy. The infection enters the host with the explosion of the first note struck by the creators of Psy-Trance. The infected become hypnotized with arrangements reminiscent to those of the greatest rock ballads. Complex layered melodies glide over trippy soundscapes and envelop the entire sonic range, causing the infected to forget all but the music. Drum and Bass influenced beats drive the music deep into the primal part of the soul and the infected can't help but dance to relive the feeling. The synth sounds created by the duo are as foreign and strange as they are familiar because they come from the depths of the meta-conscious mind.THE VISUALSThe visuals for their 3-year world tour, FungusAmongUS, are out of this world. Erez and Duvdev, the main members, perform from within 3D video mapped death star like spheres as they guide you on an epic adventure; to the depths of the sea, to the outer frontier of space, deep within yourself, and into the spirits of the universe. The spheres were created by Heather Shaw at Vita Motus Design and create a 3D perspective experience like never before.THE HISTORYThe infection started spreading almost 20 years ago when IM first stepped into the scene. Their sound was, and still is, unlike anything the world has heard before.Since then, they have released countless albums and EPs, and have been ranked by the world as one of the "Top 10 DJ's" multiple times! Infected Mushroom is particularly known for staying relevant within the constantly changing music scene. Unusually, their constant relevance was accomplished because group ignores current trends and continues to make the music of their soul. This mindset is why each of their 8 albums and 16 EPs is characterized by different overarching elements- thus blurring and often erasing the traditional boarders of genres. At the moment, Maor Levi is touring around with Morgan Page as part of his 3D Tour. But with Halloween steadily approaching, Maor Levi wanted to give back to the fans. So Maor Levi created his own custom remix to the hut summer track ‘Animals’ by Martin Garrix. The drops, crescendos, synths are all magically put together by Maor Levi. The skill that he executed in this remix is unparallelled. This is only a snipet of what is to come so stay tuned for more details and Happy Halloween! |
