tyDi Speaks Up About The State Of The Dance Music Scene Posted: 30 Oct 2013 02:48 PM PDT In today’s popular music in the dance scene, it seems that all the music is starting to sound the same in the eyes of a lot of people. Many DJs have spoken out about this, and now, you can add trance DJ tyDi to the list of people. tyDi earlier today went on a little mini-rant on his Facebook about the same sound coming out from all the DJs. “I’m legitimately worried about the future of EDM… If producers don’t change this whole approach of copying what’s ‘cool’ we could collectively sink this ship very quickly.” He also did a quick word to new producers out there, “Music speaks so loudly, it really can act like a drug, it can send shivers down your spine. I urge any new producers to PLEASE open your minds when you produce records, don’t reference what’s currently selling, just think about what you want to achieve.” Read the full rant down below. Gary Richards and HARD Presents… are bringing the scare back into the musical festival scene with HARD Day of the Dead. Day of the Dead is sure to be lined up with sugar skulls on faces and costumes of all sort, as some of the biggest artists in the world take the stage to create pure mayhem and excitement. Mixjunkies are going to be there raging our face off and covering the event. We wanted to share with you the Top 5 acts that you need to see this weekend at HARD Day of the Dead. The Bloody Beetroots Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo has changed the face of music with his unique style and incredible production talent. His latest album HIDE, is a phenomenal piece of work, featuring the likes of Tommy Lee, Peter Frampton, Theopolus London, and of course, Sir Paul McCartney. With a Bloody Beetroots live performance, it is a spectacle that should never be missed. Their live performance at the HARD Stage at EDC Las Vegas was hands-down one of the best performances of the festival. Now, The Bloody Beetroots return to HARD Day of the Dead for what is sure to be another memorable performance. Set Time: Saturday, 9:15 – 10:30 Dusky The British-duo of Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell have quickly brought their unique blend of London house & techno music onto the mainstream. Dusky really broke loose in 2011 with their critically acclaimed LP Stick By This. Then their single ‘Flo Jam’ received support from everyone; Sasha, Jamie Jones, Pete Tong, Disclosure, and even Calvin Harris. The track earned them the iTunes Dance Single of the Year award. Krewella Set To Perform On Good Morning America Tomorrow Posted: 30 Oct 2013 10:02 AM PDT Tomorrow morning marks an important day in the history of dance music. Krewella, the Chicago electro-rock trio, will be set to perform their single ‘Live For The Night‘ on Good Morning America. This will be Krewella’s first national broadcast performance. But what makes this even more special, is that this will be the first morning broadcast performance for an electronic artist ever. Do you know who watches Good Morning America? Moms and kids before they leave for school. But tomorrow, all of America is going to be tuned in on what is guaranteed to be an incredible performance from Krewella on Halloween.
