Holden Girls are a Cambridgeshire quintet who, after a few line up changes, have settled on Connor Browne, Luke Cowan, Owen Kennedy, Alex Brown and George Fletcher. Their oldest member not yet 16, since the addition of Alex and George the group has assumed a tighter and more textured live sound. Moments of dreaminess and noisier, intense sounds define their set. Their distinctive sound draws on anything from Low to Mogwai, Talk Talk and Cocteau Twins, with Browne's vocals compared to Ian Curtis' deep croon. Slate The Disco describe them as ”a complex mix of ambient, dream pop and shoegaze".   |

Despite his tender years Gavin is already a veteran of Dublin's thriving singer-songwriter circuit, having spent the past three years establishing himself as one of Ireland's most exciting up-and-coming talents. Last years' debut EP 'Say Hello' (an Irish only release) entered the Irish iTunes album charts at No.1, after which he coolly went on to pick up the Choice Meteor Award earlier this year (the Irish Mercury Prize) for Song Of The Year with the title track.
