Bonafide Magazine @ MSN: Peanut Butter Wolf’s 5 favourite records from his childhood |

The fantastically named Peanut Butter Wolf is someone who should require little introduction to Bonafide readers. The DJ/producer-turned label boss and a whole lot more has been at the helm of too many fine releases to mention as the founder of Stones Throw records.
A recent addition to Wolf, real name Chris Manak, considerable bow of talents is that of VJ, and with that we have the latest instalment of Bonafide’s 5 Favourite series in: Peanut Butter Wolf’s 5 favourite records from his childhood. There’s little in the way of description, and less to indicate he would go onto to have such an impact on hip-hop, but plenty in the way of classic rock and Fleetwood Mac, which is nice for a Friday afternoon. You can read a mini interview with Wolf from earlier this week here and extended one from issue 02 here. Peanut Butter Wolf will be performing this Saturday alongside DJ Premier at the Scala as part of The Doctors Orders #279, tickets are available here. 1.Baker Street-Gerry Rafferty (used to love it, hate it now) 2. Hold The Line-Toto 3. Magnet & Steel-Walter Egan 4. Life’s Been Good-Joe Walsh 5. (tie) Dreams-Fleetwood Mac 5. (tie) Sara-Fleetwood Mac 5. (tie) Hold Me-Fleetwood Mac |
