[PREVIEW] Ulf Bonde – Blossom For Me

Property of Gotta Dance Dirty

Recognize the name Ulf Bonde? You may remember him from a track, “Brother Piña,” that Justin Jay featured in his Desert Hearts Spring Festival live set (@ 1:29:45), but if you don’t, now is a great time to get familiar. Sweden’s Ulf is a brand new LA-based producer/DJ whose musical background consists of classical piano and choir singing. After moving to LA to go to USC a few years ago, and eventually becoming roommates with Justin Jay, he grew a strong affinity for underground dance music. In the midst of school and late weekend nights, Ulf took some time to carefully perfect his craft, but he’s now set for his debut release on September 28th, which happens to be on the trusted label, Culprit.

The first taste of his forthcoming EP, Blossom for Me, is the the title track. Deep, moody, melodic, and groovy, the track has all of the key ingredients to re-energize both casual listeners and an active dance floor, while also incorporating bits of acoustic guitar, trumpet and harp. Check out the preview here, and stay tuned for the rest of the EP, along with a remix from Justin Jay.

Ulf Bonde is certainly one to watch.
