Now that the DJ Mag Top 100 rankings are over, lets see what some DJs had to say about the rankings and DJ Mag in general.
Top 100 poll is like a CD…you know it's there, don't have much use for it, and you can buy it …but what's the use? One more thing. I'm really dissapointed that @ParisHilton is not in top100. Whyyyyyyy?! DJ MAG this year <hahahah> that's all I can say, bye. The 'ranking' sounded good, and sometimes even fed my ego when I knew it wasn't an accurate position of where I stood in this industry. So what I'm getting at is this – thanks to those who attend my shows and buy my music. You know how much I truly appreciate you Tyson <3 @DJMag #Top100 should be renamed "Top 100 Dutch Media Buys" What ever your opinion on the DJ Mag top 100 is I just wanna say fair play to @HARDWELL watched him graft his ass of since we signed his.. Early records on our junior label Leaders of the new School.. Good luck to you mate I Didnt tell anyone to vote for me because… out of respect.. i didnt think i have put enough work in to be a top 100 dj.. but.. REALLY??? This is hilarious! For something a lot of you say is irrelevant you sure do give it an awful lot of attention Makes more sense to ignore it no? |

We have already heard an electro house remix from Tiesto, and a harder, grittier version from DJ Snake. Zedd’s new single ‘Stay The Night‘ has featured some of the biggest names in music lending their musical expertise to remix this track. Now, another super star has taken the track and done something completely different with it. Nicky Romero stepped up and offered an unique remix for ‘Stay The Night‘. In just this 2 minute preview, it is difficult to see why he went the route that he did with this remix. In the beginning he completely lets a piano progression move the song along with the vocals from Hayley Williams. Nicky Romero then has the drum kick slowly build up the rest of the track until it drops into a very electronica melody. After that the track just falls flat. Nicky Romero’s electronica sound that he did for this remix fells very lifeless and uninviting. As a big supporter of Nicky Romero and his music, this remix is very disappointing. We know there could have been more. Check it out for yourself and tell us what you think. Nicky Romero’s remix of ‘Stay The Night‘ will be released November 5th on Interscope Records. |
