The Field's new full-length "Cupid's Head" cracked Billboard's top-selling dance/electronic albums charts this week (at position 8), which is another great success for the eagerly awaited follow-up to the classic "Looping State Of Mind" after conquering UK's Top 40 Dance charts earlier. Event: Blond:ish & Shumi at Gewölbe

It's been one of our top floor favorites this summer: "No Place Like Gnome" from Blond:ish's "Inward Visions" EP is a psychedelic premium banger, the "money shot in DJ crates worldwide" (yeah, that's what we actually wrote in the info sheet). Blond:ish is also an integral part of our massive upcoming London label showcase on October 25th, but before that, Anstascia and Vivie-Ann get ready to rumble at Cologne's infamous Gewölbe this Saturday, October 12th. Again hosted by Truffle Shuffle's Shumi, it's the second time for the duo at the club, after utterly destroying the floor last year. More info here!

In celebration of its ongoing 20th anniversary Kompakt will host a label showcase in London this fall. Presented by Broken & Uneven's The Hydra Kompakt will come to town on October 25th for a party at Fire with Kompakt boss Michael Mayer headlining. He'll be backed up by label regulars Robag Wruhme, Pachanga Boys, Sasche Funke, Blond:Ish, Terranova and Walls. Acclaimed Danish-German producer Kölsch and technolove duo Saschienne will be the night's live performers. Kompakt VJ Okinawa 69 will also be present. Tickets to this Kompakt label showcase are available on Resident Advisor.

Bittersweet electronic hymn "All Those Moments" and collaborations with label staple Douglas Greed already showcased the neo-romantic inclinations of producer and singer Maurycy Zimmermann aka Mooryc. Now, the Berlin-based artist prepares for the vinyl release of his debut full-length "Roofs" on Freude Am Tanzen, which is due on November 11th. To cut short the wait, he put together a beautiful label podcast featuring some of his own work alongside other wonderful tunes totally in sync with Mooryc's own emotional frequency - listen to the mix here!

Earlier this month, venerated sound crafter Robag Wruhme spent some time at Japanese virtual club Dommune and dropped an upscale dj set featuring some really classy tunes and exclusive edits - comes highly recommended. Watch it here! Robag will also perform at our massive London showcase on October 25th... more info here.

This week saw the release of Thomas Fehlmann's "Eye/Tree" vinyl, marking the return of the Swiss soundsmith to Kompakt - it's the first release in a while since "Titan One" and "Gute Luft" a little more than two years ago. We're very happy to report, then, that Mr. Fehlmann's has lost none of his experimental buoyancy or functional finesse, delivering two twitching slices of skittering prismatic techno. The 12" cover's main motive, a pair of eyes in a forest, is also the main protagonist of the complementary video by Martin Ebner and turns out to be an actual art installation by the Ebner together with Klaus Weber. Noisey got their hands on it, calling it "seductively suitable for dance floors" and exclusively premiering it here.

To celebrate 20 Years of Kompakt, we are taking our record store on tour - setting up pop-up stores in key cities across Europe supported by Electronic Beats. After our succesful pop-up store at the Ableton headquarters in Berlin, we are already excited to share that the next stop of our store will be at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the biggest club-based festival in the world. As part of ADE Playground our store will be situated in the lovely Oz. studio and project space located right in the middle of Amsterdam's infamous Red Light District. From October 16th till 19th from 2-8pm we will not only have exclusive content in our shop downstairs but also daily performances by Kompakt mainstays and label friends upstairs. Stay tuned for the full program to be revealed soon! To round things off we will be throwing an enormous '20 Years of Kompakt' party together with DGTL on Saturday October 19th at the NDSM Docks with label lynchpins Gui Boratto, Michael Mayer, Pachanga Boys, Kölsch, Saschienne, Coma, Elekfantz and visual guidance by Okinawa 69. For further info and tickets head this way.
