Alex Metric Remix

It was just last week that we announced that Empire of the Sun will be releasing their brand new single ‘DNA‘ is the coming weeks. It was on Friday that we showcased you the first remix from the package featuring Calvin Harris. Now we have the opportunity to show off another one, this time coming from one of house biggest superstars.

Alex Metric is one of the biggest names in groove house as we speak. This British DJ has remixed everyone from Depeche Mode, Bloc Party, Phoenix, La Roux and more. Now, Alex Metric has created a remix that might be one of the best ones of the year.
Opening up his remix of ‘DNA‘ with a smooth drum progression, Alex incorporates a low underlying synth progression that slowly and steadily builds up till the chorus and the break. With an intense yet groovy drum rhythm and a topline that is instantly memorable, this remix of ‘DNA’ stands out among anything that has been released so far this year.
This much anticipated release of ‘DNA‘ from Alex Metric will be available September September 24th.

In what is set to make fans around the world not care about the ticket price for just under 20 minutes, Ultra Music Festival and Charly Freidrichs, aka Final Kid, have released the long awaited aftermovie for Ultra Music Festival 2013.
Directed and edited by Freidrichs himself, this aftermovie will help you remember what an incredible experience this year’s installment of Ultra Music Festival was. Celebrating 15 years and one of America’s longest running music festival, Ultra took Miami by storm the way no natural disaster could.
With incredible sights, sounds, moments, artists, memories, this was one festival for the record books. An experience that the fans, the artists, let alone the city would never forget.
The 15th anniversary of Ultra Music Festival Miami earlier this year in March was truly an unprecedented success, and one I’ll always remember. For the first time in not only our history, but the history of any major electronic music festival in the world, Ultra took place over two consecutive weekends, each one complete with the most diverse, captivating artist line up and mind-blowing stage production that we’ve ever produced. Charly’s after-movie reflects this perfectly and I truly believe it is the very best of its kind. Never before have I seen such an emotive piece of festival filmwork, that captures the very essence of what it’s like to take part in an event such as Ultra Music Festival. – Russell Faibisch, Ultra Music Festival Founder, Executive Producer, CEO & President.
This has to be the best piece I have ever created. I have never before worked with so much amazing footage and I literally watched every second of it to pick only the most incredible shots. I don't think there is any music event in the world where the cinematography is at this level, and I am blessed to work with a team that has so much vision and talent. – Charly Freidrichs

Feed Me
An Englishman. A painter. A producer. A DJ. An eccentric musician. These are just some of the words used to describe the talent that is Feed Me. Jon Gooch, aka Feed Me, aka, Spor, aka Seventh Stitch (his new electronica album) has been wowing crowds around the worlds for year.
While many would be playing alongside each other, Feed Me prefers the company of acts like Bjork, The Prodigy, Foals, and 2ManyDJs while collaborating with live bands such as Crystal Fighters. The way that Feed Me interacts with people and with himself is one that stands out second-to-none. That is not more evident than in his debut artist album, Calamari Tuesday.
The brand new 15-track album is set to show that peak time music can be a thrill-ride to the mind and to the feet. Calamari Tuesday was created in Jon Gooch’s Hetfordshire garage with him and his 3-foot tall animatronic Feed Me robot-monster. The album bristles and bursts with energy and excitement, while separating himself from the default-setting productions enveloping the genre today.
This is my first full-length album. It represents a journey through various styles of music, 2 years of intensive touring around the world in a variety of incredible locations, and the construction of my live show and imaginary friend, from sketches into tangible reality. It’s something I now see as a collaboration between me and Feed Me. It’s very serious. – Jon Gooch aka Feed Me
Calamari Tuesday will be released on October 14th on Feed Me’s new label Sotto Records. Sotto Records will be the home of all Feed Me records and other artist releases.
