 This is some time for dance music documentaries. First, Hardwell debuted his “I AM HARDWELL” documentary during ADE, a day before he was awarded the #1 DJ award. Then, Pasquale Rotella and Insomniac Events announced that they will be premiering their “Under The Electric Sky” documentary this year at Sundance Music Festival. Now, formerly one of the biggest groups in the world, Swedish House Mafia, is coming together for one more night to debut their “Leave The World Behind” documentary at SXSW this year. SXSW is the annual music extravaganza that takes place in Austin, TX each year, and is a mecca for music and film lovers alike. So for Swedish House Mafia to come together and debut the film here is going to send the world over. Last year, Swedish House Mafia completed one last tour together, traveling all over the world to sold-out crowds of adoring fans. One Last Tour was the largest dance music tour in history, selling over 1 million tickets in one week. Director Christian Larson played the role of the fly on the wall, catching all the moments of Swedish House Mafia; from the good, to the bad, to the fun, to the sad, nothing was off limits with Swedish House Mafia when the cameras were on. With one clip being released late last year and causing absolute mayhem among fans, we can firmly suggest that the full documentary is going to be the highlight of SXSW. No word on what day Swedish House Mafia will debut “Leave The World Behind“, but when we hear, you will be the first to know.  |

 2013 was a massive year for MAKJ. He performed at Ultra Music Festival and took the main stage at TomorrowWorld. He had 3 consecutive Beatport Top 10 releases, hit the road with Bingo Players and NERVO, and collaborated with the #1 DJ in the world, Hardwell. To start off 2014, MAKJ recently hit 200,000 fans on Facebook, will be traveling to Europe for his Lets Get Fucked Up Tour, and just got announced as part of the lineup for Coachella Fest. With so much going on, and so much support from his entire fan base, MAKJ wanted to give a little treat to everyone. MAKJ is giving his track ‘Mad Max‘ away as a free download to everyone. Released today on his Soundcloud, ‘Mad Max‘ is a thundering dance floor killer that is ready to rock the speakers of fans across the world. With its thundering bass line, massive bass lines and exploding synths, ‘Mad Max‘ is a tune that can kick the party into high gear. MAKJ will kick off his Let’s Get Fucked Up Tour this Friday in France and continue until mid-February.  |

2014. It is a new year, which in Las Vegas means it is time to celebrate a full year of upcoming music. Opened in 2013, LIGHT Nightclub has quickly transformed itself into one of the world’s biggest and best nightlife destinations. With its amazing productions, and one-of-a-kind venue spacing, LIGHT Nightclub has gained the attention of DJs and fans alike.
For 2014, LIGHT Nightclub is planning on going bigger and better than ever before. LIGHT Nightclub will feature plenty of the massive names that helped last year including Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Baauer, Alesso, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Stafford Brothers, Krewella, and Skrillex just to name some. But LIGHT Nightclub will also feature plenty of new faces to the stage. Joining on for residencies this year include the massive talents of Dannic, Dyro, Laidback Luke, Norman Doray, Dirty South, GTA, and Sultan + Ned Shepard. Also sparking his first-ever Las Vegas residency, is non-other the techno/house legend Carl Cox. As a fixture in the scene for over 20 years, Carl Cox is known for throwing some of the best parties in Ibiza, and will be celebrating 10 years of Carl Cox & Friends at Ultra Music Festival this year. The January schedule for LIGHT Nightclub kicks off tonight with Dirty South.   |

Last night, excitement reached a new pinnacle, as the long-awaited lineup for the Coachella Music & Art Festival was finally released. Better known as Coachella Fest, the lineup did surely not disappoint. This year, you have the usual suspects as headliners; Muse, Arcade Fire, and the reunion show of Outkast. But one thing was made sure to stand out this year, dance music.
Dance music was a major calling card on the Coachella Fest lineup. Some acts include Martin Garrix, Zedd, Krewella, Gareth Emery, Empire of the Sun, The Glitch Mob, Chromeo, Girl Talk, Carnage and more. One surprising style really being showcased at Coachella this year, is the house and techno music scene. Acts taking the stage include Hot Since 82, Nicole Moudaber, Damian Lazarus, Nina Kraviz, Duke Dumont, Solomun, The Martinez Brothers, Art Department, Lee Burridge. So while the hippies come out and play, the dance music scene will still be thriving and pushing in the hot Coachella sun. Tickets for the weekend go on sale Friday, January 10th.   |
