Simon Wilcox and Shridhar Solanki met in London by accident. But theirs was a beautiful accident and another chance meeting in Los Angeles led to the creation of their critically acclaimed single, ‘Northern Lights’, which made it’s debut in the Twilight Saga film, Breaking Dawn. This was followed by the pair’s debut EP ‘King’. ’Flames’ is the first of many new tracks to come in 2014. Wilcox and Solanki’s musical mission is to put forth a little more beauty and light into the world. Full of positive energy, love and optimism, their songs resonate with that moment at dusk when the last few brilliant rays of sunshine refract a Cider Sky. Order ‘Flames’ now on Itunes: |

Artist: Ásgeir Release: In the Silence Label: One Little Indian Records Genre: Jazz – Contemporary
Iceland’s biggest music export since Bjork releases his breathtaking debut album translated to English by John Grant. Ásgeir has supported Grant and Of Monsters & Men on tours in 2013. ‘In The Silence’ is one of the year's best debuts; stand-out singles King & Cross, Torrent and Going Home are backed by beautiful album tracks such as ‘Higher’. At just 21, Ásgeir has become a sensation in his domestic music scene and is on his path to become a huge new star.
Artist: Jonny Winston Release: JW Label: Stab In The Dark Records Genre: R&B – Comtemporary
21st Century Soul. That’s the term that best describes Jonny Winston. The JW EP is a melting pot; four songs that are a mix of soul, acoustic, electronic, bass and house, an example of what happens when you grow up listening to Dre and Al Green, to loving Stevie Wonder and digging Underworld. Jonny’s SB:TV debut is a “stripped bare” version of Flatline from the EP, showing his guitar skills and putting that voice right out there, a voice that makes this EP stand out in today’s pop-soul RnB crowd…
Artist: Wanda Davis Release: Where Did You Sleep Last Night Label: Secret Stash Records Genre: R&B – Funk & Soul
Spine-tingling, deep cover version from the ‘Minnesota Queen of Soul’, pretender to Sharon Jones crown. In 1969 Wanda Davis recorded her one and only record, ‘Save Me’ B/W ‘Take Care’. It has since become one of the most collectible soul records on the planet, regularly fetching over $1,000 online. In the years since ’69, Davis has kept her chops up in the best possible way, at church. ‘Where Did You Sleep Last Night’ finds this rediscovered soul sensation performing a haunting, soulful rendition of a classic murder ballad dating back to the late 1800′s, later popularized by Leadbelly.
Artist: Grum Release: In Love Label: Heartbeats Genre: Dance – House – Big Room
Following on from the huge success of 'Everytime', championed by everyone from Annie Mac to Pete Tong, and the Mixmag Single of the Month 'The Theme', Grum returns with 'In Love' the third single to be taken from his forthcoming album 'Human Touch' on Heartbeats. Topped off with remixes from Barrientos and Brett Gould, ‘In Love’ is a huge release! The Scottish producer once again marries his love for underground house sounds with an innate talent for producing laser-guided melodies. The result is a head-rush inducing combination of pianos, synths, beats and bass and a track that stands out and sparkles like a diamond on the grimy floor of a warehouse rave.
