 Introducing: Chuck Inglish
The Cool Kids were a bit of an anomaly back in 2007. Aside from Kanye (Graduation) and Jay-Z (American Gangster), hip-hop was suffering from something of a mid-decade creative lull, and the Kids duly offered an injection of frivolity back into the proceedings, albeit earning the questionable tag of hipster-hop in the process. Such was their separation from the then-rap community that their flamboyant outlook seemed to conversely work against them, with the duo subsequently announcing their disbandment in 2012.

Consisting of Antoine 'Sir Michael Rocks' Reed and Evan 'Chuck Inglish' Ingersoll, the Kids built a cult following thanks to their colourful re-imagining of tired concepts and their well received EP The Bake Sale and first full-length When Fish Ride Bicycles. It is tempting to suggest that their approach to musicianship and alternative style was ahead of its time, such is the similarity between them and the now pervasive Odd Future swag that has so forcefully permeated the hip-hop market since 2011.
To fans' delight, Inglish recently announced that the group would be ending their hiatus with the long anticipated Shark Week this year, but he has kept himself busy in the interim period, prepping his own debut solo effort Convertibles. The record is co-produced by Incubus' Mike Einziger and Inglish himself, and features collaborations with Chance The Rapper, Sir Michael Rocks, Vic Mensa and Action Bronson among others. The tracklist is below, along with the video for Easily featuring Mac Miller and Ab-Soul.

1. Elevators (ft. Buddy & Polyester The Saint)
2. Swervin (ft. Sir Michael Rocks & Polyester The Saint)
3. Legs (ft. Chromeo)
