Our good homies the Bixel Boys have had a huge breakout year and cap it off with their follow up original EP Bring It On on the legendary NYC based Nervous Records. The title track ‘Bring It On’ is a marching band inspired monster – massive snares and cheer vocal chops tidal wave into a heavy drop of sinister brass band stabs and a bouncing bass line. The B-side ‘CPR’ carries a slower rate (113bpm and literally samples a cardiac monitor) with a warehouse feel of grinding techno/electro. The EP already has received support from the likes of Congorock, Kastle, LA Riots, Tittsworth, Jillionaire of Major Lazer, Harvard Bass, Adrian Lux, 3LAU and many more.
The remix savants have really made a recent change in their sound, with their most recent releases solely being banging underground tracks with big room viability. Listen below, and be sure to catch them over NYE weekend at SnowGlobe Music Festival December 29-31 in Lake Tahoe, CA.
