Office productivity has gone down somewhat since the release of Grand Theft Auto V this week, 'cos there's nothing better than cruising through San Andreas with Soulwax FM blasting out of the virtual car speakers. As we already mentioned hereMatias Aguayo's "El Sucu Tucu" (from his "The Visitor" full-length) and Daniel Maloso's "Body Music" (from the "In And Out" album) are featured on the game's soundtrack, which is quite a big thing for us... and it's getting bigger, as GTA V sales just hit 1 Billion Dollars in three days. But there's so much more to the game than cabbage: for many, the franchise holds a very special place in their hearts, as Daniel Maloso can confirm:

"For me its been a real honor. I have played every single GTA game since it first came out on 97´for PC, spending long hours and sleepless nights playing with my brother and just being completely hyped about the game - I  have played every single edition, even the ipad/ iPhone versions which are perfect for long flights and airport waits while touring. It was a big surprise when I got the intel earlier this year that there was a possiblilty my track could be used in GTA V, but because it wasnt a sure thing I kept my mouth shut... imagine the torture! It's also a great honor to be included in the Soulwax FM station - I've always been a fan of Soulwax and having their support really means a lot to me. I would never have dreamed that I would contribute to GTA in any way and it's a real pleasure to be a part of something that has been that important in my teenage years... and still is. The game has evolved in impressive ways and to me it's quite simply one of the best games of all times. It feels weird and beautiful at the same time to be able to drive around Los Santos doing crazy shit while listening to "Body Music"... totally awesome!"
Well said, Daniel... now let's go scuba diving and find that *SPOILER ALERT* crashed UFO off the northern coast of San Andreas!

Having released their universally acclaimed debut full-length "In Technicolor" earlier this year, COMA's Marius Bubat and Georg Conrad up the ante with the "In Technicolor Remixe" coming in this week. The second 12" for the album after primer "My Orbit" features the considerable talents of Terranova, Roosevelt and Zombies In Miami, who each deliver powerful reworks of their favorite tracks. Take for example album collaborator Roosevelt and his marvellous revamp of "Les Dilettantes": originally a slightly no-wavey narrative sporting the idiosyncratic voicework of MIT's Edi Winarni, the track now pushes back its free-form properties for a heavily disco-infused work-out driven by exquisite hooks and a delibarately jam-like mentality. Edi's singing remains largely unchanged, but reveals unexpected glamour within the new context, making this an appropriately flashy addition to an already mighty fine collection. Our good friends from Joinmusic! think so too, so they decided to put up an exclusive stream of Roosevelt's "Les Dilettantes" remix - listen to it here!

Hotly tipped UK producer Lapalux released his sample-splicing debut "Nostalchic" via Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder imprint this year and has since been in the middle of a headlining tour. Still, he found time to break five LP favorites down for quarterly journal Self-Titled... and what do you know, The Field's seminal full-length debut "From Here We Go Sublime" made the list! Another good reason to be really excited for his upcoming new album "Cupid's Head", if you ask us.

Earlier this week, the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto V was released worldwide, generating approximately 800 million Dollars in sales during its first 24 hours on the shelves. As usual, Rockstar Games stuffed the latest iteration of their blockbuster franchise with a remarkable soundtrack spread on 15 distinct radio stations... "somewhere in the proximity of 20 movies worth of score", says the game's soundtrack supervisor Ivan Pavlovich according to Rolling Stone. One of those stations is Soulwax FM, which features our very own Matias Aguayo and Cómeme cohort Daniel Maloso. Matias' contribution is his smashing "El Sucu Tucu" single originally featured on his latest album "The Visitor", which - by the way - also got its own video released this week... watch it here!
