The iconic charity and not-for-profit members' club opens the doors of its beautiful chapel for a series of intimate music events and inspiring conversations
We are excited to announce the new season of live music events and conversations at the House of St. Barnabas, with Gilles curating the line up on 8th October. Featuring some of today's most exciting curators, producers, musicians and creatives, the Autumn Culture Series 2013 at The House of St Barnabas has been conceived as a programme of events that will champion emerging talent and inspire and provoke thought, whilst celebrating the opening of the not-for-profit members' club in Autumn 2013.
After an incredible evening of music last year featuring ESKA, Nick Mulvey and Ayanna Witter-Johnson, the BBC 6 Music broadcaster and Worldwide Festival founder Gilles returns to The House of St Barnabas to program two more nights at the intimate venue. The first of these is on 8 October 2013, featuring the talents of Andrew Ashong, Ady Suleiman and a further act to be announced.  The acts across both of the nights will represent the more soulful end of the Worldwide spectrum, playing very special stripped-back acoustic sets to take full advantage of the unique atmosphere of the Chapel.
"I'm really pleased to be returning to the House of St Barnabas – it's an amazing venue committed to the support of new, exciting music and uses the proceeds of its endeavours to fund an important cause. After inviting him for one of his first live gigs earlier this year, I'm excited to see Andrew Ashong play in this incredible setting"Gilles Peterson
Gilles Peterson is also coming on board as a founding member of the club at The House of St Barnabas, and will be collaborating on future events in the forthcoming seasons.
The House of St Barnabas is a charity and venue in the heart of Soho. Since its foundation as a charity in 1846, The House of St Barnabas has strived to realise its vision of a future where sustained employment is a reality for those affected by homelessness.
The work of the charity is supported by the not-for-profit member's club, which launches in Autumn 2013. The Culture Series looks forward to this exciting phase in the history of The House of St Barnabas, and invites new and old supporters to re-connect with the charity.
