Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike teamed up with Wolfpack to create the track ‘Ocarina’ which blew up and became one of the most important tracks of their careers, being released a year after it was first teased. Then, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike brought on famed British-singer Katy B to add lyrics and create amazing vocals to the track. Now, the official video for the vocal version ‘Find Tomorrow (Ocarina)’ has an official video. Following Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s animated trend, the video follows the guys as they travel through different fairy tales, from Alice in Wonderland, to bean stalks, pirates, mummies and more. Where will Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike end up next? Only time will tell.  |

 In October of 2012, Boys Noize released his third studio album, Out of the Black, that has since received raved reviews all over the world, and has become a signature calling card for the artists. To get the hype and intensity rolling on the album, Boys Noize has shared the official Jimmy Edgar remix of his track ‘What You Want‘. Jimmy Edgar has quickly solidified himself in the house music scene with his deep and dark edgy and funk-filled rhythms that have been rocking the dance floors across the world. Now, Jimmy Edgar takes those skills and put it to this one-of-a-kind production for Boys Noize. Premiering yesterday on Rolling Stone, Jimmy Edgar has wowed people with this remix. He has taken the funk energy of the original, and brought a darker, electronic feel to the track. Jimmy Edgar is one of my favorite producers right now. On his remix he took the funk essence of the original and flipped it to a darker but club-friendlier banger.  We’ve known Bad Boy Bill for a long time now. Every since the early raver days we’ve loved his Hard House sound. Since then, Bad Boy Bill has changed up his vibe a bit and transversed a into the progressive house / electro sound. And we have to say, it’s working for him.  As pioneers in the dance music scene The Crystal Method has constantly been evolving and leading the charge for other artists, all why still staying true to themselves. Near the end of 2013, we heard that The Crystal Method was scoring the music for the TV show, Almost Human, on Fox. Now, they have even more exciting news before the release of their brand new album next week. The Crystal Method will be releasing their 5th studio album, The Crystal Method, on Janaury 14th. But before then, Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland will be streaming the album for all to hear on Pandora and HypeM. They want everyone to experience the magic before the album is released. The new album will feature plenty of musical guests including LeAnn Rimes, Franky Perez (Scars On Broadway), Nick Thayer and mau5trap artist Le Castle Vania. On January 14th, The Crystal Method will be appearing on the KCRW morning program “Morning Becomes Eclectic”, all while gearing up for ther performance at the El Rey Theater on January 16th, which will feature a full live band. Snoop Lion introduced us to his reggae persona Snoop Lion early last year with the release of his Reincarnation album. The album was produced by Diplo and Major Lazer. Now, Snoop Lion and Major Lazer has released the music video for the track ‘Get Away‘. The music video follows Snoop Lion and Major Lazer in an 8-bit Pokemon-esque video game world as they join forces to battles evil. It is a fun video game to watch, transporting me back to when I was 10 years old with my Gameboy, wishing this was the type of music that they featured in the video game.  |

 The end of 2013 is near and Markus Schulz has gone ahead and picked out some of his favorite tracks to culminate an amazing year for electronic music. Some amazing trance tunes all blended together in this set. Plug in and enjoy. Having a three hour timeframe allowed me the opportunity to really express the journey aspect of a set, being able to build things up slowly from the beginning. After about a month of digging, finding, compiling and editing, I managed to get the set completed just this weekend.
