You might not know the name of Abstract The Ism, but I have been fans of them since they sent me their unreleased album just a few months ago. Made up of the dynamic duo MING and Jumpshot, Abstract The Ism is taking music and bringing it back to the 80s while still giving it a brand new flair. And no, I am not talking about Band of Seagulls 80s, I am talking about classic 80s hip hop. Today, Abstract The Ism release their very first track for you to get a hint of just what I am talking about. Today, they created an epic bootleg of Eric B & Rakim’s track ‘I Ain’t No Joke‘. With this bootleg, Abstract The Ism incorporates a progression that relies heavily on the funky hip hop drums progression, while still incorporating many elements of temporary hip hope and trap music. Similar to the sound that Pretty Lights went with on his new album A Color Map of The Sun, this could be a pumping new direction for dance music to head to bring on the more urban market into the new genre of music that is taking the world by storm. With that, Abstract The Ism is leading the charge with this forward thinking style of music. Get your hands on this free download of ‘I Ain’t No Joke‘ and keep your eyes out on Abstract The Ism. |

We love Eelke Kleijn here at Mixjunkies. His house music is smooth, melodic and always beautiful. Always reminds us of Ibiza sunrises. His radio show doesn’t come frequent enough, but when it does he treats us to some great vibes. This episode he gives us a live mix from one of his gigs at Paradigm. Amazing how much beautiful music comes from Netherlands based producers. Plug in for just over 3 hours of bliss.

Morgan Page is one who doesn’t follow the trend. Instead, he is a trend setter. While people like Afrojack drive around in Ferrari’s, Morgan Page settles for the more eco-friendly Tesla…which is completely bad ass too. Now, Morgan Page is breaking the trend again as he is about to hit the road across the US and Canada for his biggest headlining tour yet. The last time Morgan Page went on a headlining tour, his Air Up There Tour hit 35 cities, got him his own Sirius XM Radio show, and accumulated over 500,000 digital track sales in the US and Canada. Now, this Grammy-nominated producer hopes to up the anti with his Morgan Page Presents Tour. While on the Morgan Page Presents Tour, Morgan will be hitting over 50 cities across the US and Canada. Kicking off the tour will be Morgan’s return to the Nokia Theater on September 13, continuing until Morgan Page plays 2 shows in one night at Yost Theater. One for an all-ages crowd, the other 21+. Joining him on the tour will be a crop of talent that Morgan has hand-picked himself. Some of these are more notable names than other, but each and every one brings something new and unique to the table. Sharing the tour with Morgan will be Walden, Maor Levi, Topher Jones, Beltek, Audien, and Project 46. At majority of the stops along the tour, Morgan Page will be debuting an incredible 3D element to the show to envelope the fans in a sensory experience never before felt. The 3D element was originally created for Michael Jackson’s This Is It Tour, but never got used, until now. This tour is all about showcasing new talent and groundbreaking artists, Morgan Page says. "There’s so much amazing music out there and I want to help champion new and emerging artists. The bus tour kicks things off in the fall, bringing along my favorite new artists but that’s only the beginning. Music is only one component of the brand. Everything will revolve around innovation – new technology, new artists, and new experiences that will entertain and enrich people’s lives. Last year, Sensation America debuted in the US in New York City to 2 nights of sold out shows at the Barclays Center. We are always on the look out for new electro tunes for our The Fix show with Juanjo Martin and this one is definitely going on the next mix. It’s already been supported by Arty, Benny Benassi, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Diplo, Knife Party, Porter Robinson, Steve Aoki, Tommy Trash & more. So it’s slotted to be one of those insane tracks to go wild to. If your not familiar with Mike Hawkins he is a well respected producer who has been doing some amazing remixes and originals. Pablo Oliveros is a new name for us, but we definitely are digging the collaboration. Keep you eye on these men. Track is out now on Spinning Recordings! Go grab your copy and show your support.
