Yesterday, the MTV EMA‘s took place and MTV had one very special correspondent…Mr. Ron Burgandy himself. In one video segment, Ron Burgandy travels around Amsterdam with “two inexplicable continentals from space,” Daft Punk. Ron Burgandy and Daft Punk take a boat ride, ride a three-person bike, and visit a shop where they sell those wooden shoes. At the end of the video, Ron leaves Daft Punk who are too busy eating pastries with some beautiful women. We don’t know how it took us so long to notice this video, but we are sure glad Conan O’Brien was able to point it out.

Just one day after Wet Electric won its right to continue with the festival as planned, Wet Electric has been denied its alcohol permit.
Yesterday, Judge Jamoa A. Moberly ruled in favor of the festival promoters to continue with the event. City leaders had filed a restraining order against the festival, citing it violated noise ordinances.
This was obviously just a plow to get the festival cancelled in fear of a repeat of what happened July 28th. On this day, riots and looting occurred in Huntington Beach, CA during the U.S. Open of Surfing.
But now with 10,000 people set to descend upon Huntington Beach tomorrow for Wet Electric, it has since been reported by ABC 7 News that the festival’s alcohol permit has since been denied.
On the description on the Wet Electric, it is said, “concertgoers can enjoy performances by 12 DJs, water slides, zip lines, and alcohol.” With acts like Paul Oakenfold, Erick Morillo, Robbie Rivera and Nadi Ali set to perform at the festival, we can see if this will deprive anyone of showing up.
