The National Film Board of Canada is revered around the world for the incredible films it produces and distributes — and one of the things it does best is films that feature music and musicians.
From the legendary animated short The Log Driver's Waltz to the mashup-minded RiP! A Remix Manifesto to films about Rush, Blue Rodeo, Bryan Adams, the Tragically Hip, Sarah McLachlan, Glenn Gould, Jane Bunnett, Howard Shore and more, there are dozens to choose from.
They range in length from a few minutes to a couple of hours, and run the gamut of musical styles, but they all shed light on music from Canada and beyond.
