Mano Le Tough Has a New LP Coming Out Next Month
Niall Mannion (a.k.a Mano Le Tough) has a second album dropping October 30 via Munich imprint Permanent Vacation. This is the latest project from the Berlin-based artist, who’s last album on the label dates back to 2013. It also marks a return to the imprint, with last year’s Tempus three-tracker EP getting released via Mannion’s own Maeve records.
As reported by RA: “the album is described as a further refining of the melodic, pop-inflected house” and will once again feature the artist’s own vocals.
The new full-lentgh will be released as a double-vinyl, a CD and will also include digital formats.

The EP follows the lead of Hemsworth’s 2014 album Alone for the First Time and and is his first body of work released through the label. Taking Flight will be released on October 9.

Kode9 details first solo album, Nothing
Kode9‘s first solo album, Nothing, is coming out in November through his own Hyperdub label.
Though Steve Goodman has released two collaborative albums—both with The Spaceape, real name Stephen Samuel Gordon, who died in 2014—Nothing is his first solo LP. According to Hyperdub, the record “throws horror soundtracks, sampled library records and J-pop into a no-man’s land between grime, early dubstep and Chicago footwork.” The Spaceape’s presence looms over the record: the spaces on “Void” were originally intended to be filled by the vocalist, while the album closes with nine minutes of elegiac silence in the form of “Nothing Lasts Forever.” He’s also credited on a song titled “Third Ear Transmission.”
Looking ahead, 2016 will see Kode9 embark on a live audiovisual tour with artist Lawrence Lek. The show is apparently focused on an “evacuated, fully automated, luxury hotel” called The Notel.
Tracklist
01. Zero Point Energy
02 Notel
03. Void
04. Holo
05. Third Ear Transmission feat. The Spaceape
06. Zero Work
07. Vacuum Packed
08. Wu Wei
09. Casimir Effect
10. Respirator
11. Mirage
12. Drones
13. Nothing Lasts Forever
Hyperdub will release Nothing on November 5th, 2015.

Panasonic relaunches Technics turntable
Panasonic has just revealed plans to relaunch its Technics line.
The Technics SL-1200, discontinued in 2010, is a revered device in dance music history, long considered the industry standard for DJing with vinyl.
Panasonic is pledging to rebuild the turntable with “new elements at every level,” according to WIRED. It’ll be designed with the SL-1200 (and the SP10) in mind, made of aluminum with a “stark” and “utilitarian” design to go with the other Technics products.
The Technics brand was first revived last year in the form of high-end audio systems. In addition to the turntable, Panasonic used its IFA conference to announce the addition of a new amp, hi-fi and headphones to the product line.
“Turntables are a very iconic product for the Technics brand,” says Michiko Ogawa, director of Technics, in a quote from WIRED. “It is important to show our sincere dedication [to that]. The turntable market is very small but it is a very important brand product.”
