They have become Daft Punk's signature look: gleaming helmets that fully conceal the music makers underneath.
When they first started out, French dance music duo Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter weren't wearing any snazzy headgear.
But, more than a decade before massive hits like "Get Lucky," the pair knew they wanted to create a look that would keep their identities hidden from the public, and match their high-tech sound — so they sought the help of special effects guru Tony Gardner.
