The infamous Wassermann returns, one of Wolfgang Voigt's most eccentric (and most loved) monickers besides Gas and Mike Ink. It's been a long hiatus since 2002's "Ende Der Schonzeit", a hard-hitting, bone-breaking 12" reminding us of the good old times where shuffle techno and noisy disco loops ruled Kompakt's air waves. But one of the biggest Wassermann bangers surely was "W.I.R." from 2000, heralding the start of the new millennium with a highly infectious groove and the best vocoder lyrics ever put on wax... it was so good, it even got remixed by Sven Väth. Now, Cologne's phenomenal Magazine crew was able to secure new Wassermann material to be released on July 29th. That's not too far away, so you better get ready, for the label's back catalogue clearly shows how quickly their releases are sold out. Listen to Wassermann's "Dumpfe Töne" here!
