What started out as a comment of his A State of Trance radio show, has now turned into a full-fledged movement. Armin spoke of the more melodic and uplifting 138, spoke of it so much that he debuted the Who’s Afraid of 138 stage at ASOT 600 in Den Bosch. The world started trending the hashtag #WAO138. There we were introduced to amazing names like Arctic Moon, Brian Kearney, and Mark Sherry. Shortly after that, Armin did a full A State of Trance Episode dedicated to the 138 sound. Now, Armin is introducing a full label dedicated to 138 on Armada/strong>, entitled Who’s Afraid of 138 Records. And not to become tiring, but the debut release off the label is from one of the fastest growing names in the 138 sound.

The debut release on Armin’s Who’s Afraid of 138 label is going to be from Photographer. And the track is going to be his remix of Armin van Buuren’s ‘Who’s Afraid of 138‘. Off Armin’s album intense and debuted during his special 138 ASOT episode, this remix has quickly become a fan favorite and has made Photographer one of the rising stars in the trance scene. There are so many great things about this ‘Who’s Afraid of 138‘ remix. The massive layered synths that make you want to put your hands in the air and just scream, a fast-paced drum beat that makes your heart start beating at 138, and a felling that is lost from the mainstream music of our dance scene today. There is feeling and emotion and originality in trance music.

The photographer remix of ‘Who’s Afraid of 138‘ will be out August 5th on the Who’s Afraid of 138 label.
