KOMPAKT deep_link: Bryan Kessler

The latest entry in our popular deep_link mix series on mixcloud, Cologne stalwart Bryan Kessler is a dude of many faces, but all of them rock. Besides being the lead singer and guitarist for neo punk nutters The Pollywogs (check this video and blush), Bryan also embarked on an increasingly public career as prolific DJ and dance music producer. Showcasing some mighty fine electronic swagger, his mix features premium sounds from The Field, Walls, Barnt, Nhar and more, taking you on a highly immersive journey to the uncanny valley of today's club culture... simply wow.

On July 27th, our boss Michael Mayer will join Marcus Worgull at Naturel Beachclub in Den Haag. Normally, that would be all we could tell you but the hosts expressed their anticipation for the event with a special video treatment that is more than just an announcement. Well done! If you happen to speak Dutch, get more infos about the event right here.

Kölsch had a fantastic run so far with his deeply personal debut album "1977". We got so much great feedback over the past two weeks since it has been released, it is pure bliss for us at the office! Joining the chorus of praise, Tom Frain from Flux reviewed it as an "undeniably epic" album and gave it a near perfect rating. Read his full review here and if you love reading reviews also check another good one by the Nothing But Hope and Passion blog right here. Buy the album here and/or our special pom beanie bundle there to recreate the beautiful cover artwork by yourself.

This Friday 12th July, UK promoters Entail and The Nest will host Kompakt label nights in London. Gui Boratto and Tobias Thomas will headline a night at Vauxhall's Fire. Across town at The Nest there's more Kompakt in the form of Kölsch. And by the way: The Guardian announces both nights in its latest "Clubs picks of the week".
