 Arca, the enigmatic producer who collaborated with Kayne West on Yeezus and has worked with the equally secretive Twigs, has released what appears to be a mix tape of original material on this website. The back drop is a freakish flesh mass on chop-stick legs as neurotic, cavernous beats and upset melodies scream out.  |

Named after a crap looking delicacy in a shop in Nunhead, Mr. Cake is a track from Ikonika’s second album Aerotropolis, out this month (30 July). The triumphant, game-menu-select sound is matched by an OutRun Arcade-style video, with a bikini-clad woman weaving through sunny digital cityscapes in a ‘Rari. Make sure you catch Ikonika at a lil thing we’re putting on on Thursday at The Shacklewell Arms, details of which can be found here. It’ll be a laugh riot:
