Electronic musician tells the corporation to lawyer up over the iconic mouse trademark
Electronic musician Deadmau5 has spoken out against an official legal challenge from Disney over the mouse-eared logo. As the multi-billion-dollar corporation are said to be going to war with the star DJ, Deadmau5 trumpeted his defiance, tweeting, Lawyer up mickey.
According to Deadmau5s lawyer, Dina LaPolt, the DJs logo is already a registered trademark in 30 countries, including the UK, Ireland and Germany. But not in America: Deadmau5 applied to the US patent and trademark office in June 2013, and Disneys 171-page opposition papers were submitted this month, according to TMZ.
