Following warnings of extreme weather conditions, the EDM event in New York was cut short this weekend
For the second year in the row, New Yorks Electric Zoo music festival has been forced to abandon its final day. Whereas last years Sunday programming was cancelled after two drug-related deaths, this past weekends festivities were cut short by extreme weather conditions.
Late on Sunday afternoon, organisers announced that Electric Zoo would be shut[ting] down for the remainder of the festival. We apologize to fans, but your safety is our main concern, they tweeted. Although hundreds of people had to be evacuated by ferry, no incidents were reported.
