Daft Punk to perform with Stevie Wonder at 2014 Grammys

Band's appearance will feature a host of Random Access Memories collaborators and the 63-year-old soul singer

Daft Punk will make their first televised performance since 2008 at this year's Grammys, performing alongside a selection of artists including Stevie Wonder.

As well as bringing on board Get Lucky collaborators Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, the electronic duo will welcome the 63-year-old soul singer to their lineup for the performance on 26 January. Daft Punk's last televised performance was at 2008's Grammys.

"We learned that because they had such a good experience with us when they appeared with Kanye in 2008, they were happy to discuss a performance on this year's show," executive producer Ken Ehrlich told Rolling Stone. "Conversations took place over a period of a couple of months, and finally they agreed to be a part of this year's telecast. Details of the performance are still being worked out, but the idea of having the exclusive television performance by this iconic band is something we're very, very excited about."

Daft Punk are up for five Grammys, including album of the year, best dance/electronica album and best pop/group performance for Get Lucky. Alongside Wonder and the Random Access Memories collaborators, the album's session musicians Chris Caswell, Nathan East, Omar Hakim and Paul Jackson Jr will also perform. This will be Daft Punk's first live performance in support of the album, which was released in May 2013.

Other performers on the night will include Kendrick Lamar, P!nk and fun.'s Nate Ruess, while Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Blake Shelton and Willie Nelson will appear together.

Jay Z leads the nominations for this year's awards, with Magna Carta Holy Grail receiving nods in almost every rap category, outpacing LPs by Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
