While everyone's readying for the booming, big-room madness of the now sold-out Tomorrowland Belgium, those with more specialized electronic tastes have all eyes on the country's Dour Festival.
Scheduled just one week before Tomorrowland, the Dour Festival will take place over five days from July 15-19 in its namesake city, which is located just over 70 miles southwest of Boom. Organizers have released the first names to play the festival, and it's a varied blend of styles ranging from techno and electronica to rap and beyond.
James Holden, Kangkarussell, Nozinja, Rone and Simian Mobile Disco are some of the names handling the live performance end of the festival, while artists playing DJ sets include Innervisions heads Âme and Dixon, Life & Death co-founder DJ Tennis, Autechre, Jon Hopkins, Nina Kraviz and Pan-Pot, in addition to Cashmere Cat, High Contrast, Flume and Julio Bashmore. Check out the initial line-up for Dour Festival below, and expect more names to drop in the coming weeks.

Over the weekend, Diplo carved out two full hours on his BBC Radio 1 show for one of bass music’s leading labels, MTA Records. To celebrate the imprint’s 5th anniversary, the host invited bosses Chase & Status to turn in a half-hour mix, with MTA recruits TCTS, GotSome and Bobby Tank also contributing 30 minutes each.
At the top of the show, Diplo introduces MTA as “one of the most important labels of the last five years,” helping to launch the careers of Nero, Moody Good, Ben Pearce, Kove and more. You can get into all the guest mixes below – expect a string of MTA classics alongside new gear from a range of artists and labels.
Chase & Status recently tracked the history of their label in an interview with Complex. “We were very, very happy to score a number one single with Nero,” the group’s Saul Milton recalled of a defining moment for MTA. “They were probably our first exclusive signing. I mean, we barely had a label when we signed them – it was in the studio, with a piece of paper, and they just came with absolute bangers. It all happened so organically, and suddenly, the trajectory changes and, in the blink of an eye, it was like right, ‘This is now a proper business.'”

Next month, Washington, DC venue U Street Music Hall, is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and the team's marking the occasion with a stacked series of shows.
Per Resident Advisor, the anniversary week opens in style on March 16 with Dubfire, who will play the whole night through from open to close. The following Thursday will host a Moombahton Massive with hometown heroes Nadastrom and Fort Knox Five, in addition to Sabo and special guests; while Friday will get a taste of Detroit-meets-Berlin techno from Ultramajic man Jimmy Edgar supported by Tittsworth and DJ Lisa Frank. Chris Lake will man the decks on Saturday alongside club owner Will Eastman, and Claptone and Beautiful Swimmers will close things out on Sunday, March 21.
Of course, nothing less is expected from an establishment that's been voted on by DJs and industry names as one of the 'Top Dance Clubs in America' for Rolling Stone. Adding to U Street Music Hall's allure in addition to its on-trend bookings is its relaxed dress code and ban on video and photography during events, making it a place strictly for dancing.
In addition to the anniversary week parties, U Street Music Hall will celebrate five years by awarding $5,000 to a DC-based non-profit music program through its eponymous foundation. Head here to read the rules and other details. [Photo via U Street Music Hall’s Facebook]
ANNIVERSARY

Last week, we shared a list of 13 music festivals in mind-blowing locations you'll never want to leave. Over the weekend, Dixon and Âme's Innervisions label revealed the new locale for their infamous Lost In A Moment soiree in Barcelona, Spain; though it may not qualify as a festival, its scenery is special nonetheless.
As Resident Advisor reports, Lost In A Moment Barcelona will take place from June 21-22 at El Castell De Montjuic, an "old military fortress" standing more than 170 meters above sea level on top of a mountain, according to Barcelona's official website. The massive structure was originally built in 1640, and for a time served as a military prison until lawmakers recently voted to turn it into a cultural space for citizens.
The event will go for a solid eleven hours from 4pm-3am, and has quite the cast: both label heads will play (with Âme performing both a DJ and live set), in addition to Culoe De Song and Solar. Check out some photos of El Castell De Montjuic below to see where the Innervisions magic will go down – and if Barcelona isn’t in the cards for you just yet, Lost In A Moment will also make its way to Rio, Naples, the UK and more later this year.

It’s been over a month now since Amsterdam institution Trouw closed its doors after an epic New Year’s marathon. With the legendary club now handed over to the bulldozers, former Trouw resident and house authority Tom Trago has been busy capturing its demolition on Instagram. As picked up by Mixmag, the DJ’s series of photos plainly document the unglamorous end of a beloved building.
Ahead of the club’s closure, Trago joined residents and regulars like Marcel Dettmann, DVS1 and Leon Vynehall in handpicking some of their most beloved Trouw anthems, accompanied by personal commentary, for this special playlist. Standout moments come from Thomas Bangalter, Theo Parrish, Henrik Schwarz and many more. It's a fitting musical tribute to those who played, worked and danced together within this world-class space. Check out Trago’s less-joyous snapshots of the aftermath below.

As predicted, it didn’t take long for Tomorrowland Belgium to sell out over the weekend, with a wave of hopeful attendees flooding the festival’s website. In the midst of its ticket release, Tomorrowland revealed yet another addition to its already star-studded line-up. On Saturday, July 25, Martin Garrix will step up to the mainstage for what’s sure to be an anthemic peaktime set.
The Dutch teenager has launched into 2015 with a new track, “Forbidden Voices,” to celebrate hitting 10 million fans on Facebook. Trading heavy drops for a more melodic structure, the producer’s latest is already winning him new converts. Garrix is looking at a stacked tour schedule in the lead-up to Tomorrowland, traveling across Australia on the Future Music Festival tour before touching down in Miami for Ultra Music Festival weekend. He’s also signed on for a 2015 Las Vegas residency at Omnia Nightclub.
There's a whole lot to look forward to in Boom, Belgium on the weekend of 24-26 July. So far, the main stage cast includes Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Alesso, Axwell Λ Ingrosso and Avicii, while the likes of Sven Väth, Carl Cox and Robin Schulz are also in the mix. Expect the line-up to keep growing over the coming weeks.
