There's been hints of a "Rock Konducta" spin on Madlib's Beat Konducta series as far back as PB Wolf's Stones Throw Podcast 64 in 2011. Word comes today that Madlib's Rock Konducta Vol. 1 LP will be released in December. Rock refers to the inspiration Madlib has taken in recent years from 60s-70s progressive rock, African "Zamrock," and other funky forms of the rock genre.
