Just one month ago, the emerging dance-pop artist, Nick Pes, unveiled the first single, “California,” off of his debut EP, and now he’s giving us another glimpse into the release with “Under the Light.” Inspired by the lights of Tokyo and New York, as well as past relationships, this Sydney-based talent has channeled his emotions into this new song. On “Under the Light,” Nick opens things up with vocoder, before dropping into a laid-back groove that welcomes more vocals, retro synths, and even a saxophone solo to complete the song that conjures feelings of nostalgia.
