Acid House legend and king of the Roland 303, DJ Pierre , is a DJs DJ. Going strong since the late 80s, the Chicago stalwart is as relevant as ever; playing Coachella this past April, performing special guest sets on the BODY HIGH label tour last month in North America, and most recently, releasing a new remix for Spanish Techno producer, Dosem, out on LA-based Halocyan Records a week from today.
Ahead of the release, Pierre has put together an expansive mix for XLR8R of which he explains, “I wanted to disregard any rules or expectations, and I just dove in.” We love that. But don’t expect an hour of Acid here, as DJ Pierre has included a range of tastes making for a solid arrangement with numerous subgenres fitting under the big House umbrella.
