London electronic pop duo Sylas come with a slew of accolades, and they’re only on their second track: for one thing, Brian Eno’s a known fan of theirs. For another, one half of the production/vocal duo is heading to Tokyo to participate in the 2014 Red Bull Music Academy later this year. Their debut track ‘Hollow’ made waves with its lurching structure, but ‘Shore’ – premiered on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show last night – is, on first listen, a much gentler, more recognisable pop song. Over a warm rush of synths and guitars, the vocal is weary and intimate as Sylas ask, “don’t just fall and find somebody else.” The three-song Shore EP is due out in November via Aesop.
