Over his esteemed 20-year career, New Jersey native Kerri Chandler, 44, has helped to define the modern deep house sound with his warm, atmospheric, soulful classics like 1993's Atmosphere EP and 1992's seminal A Basement, A Redlight, and A Feeling compilation on his own Madhouse label. Makes sense when you consider the fact that he grew up in a family of jazz musicians and even his dad was a working DJ. Recently, the deep-house master sat down with Serbian DJ and music journalist Tijana T for a chat before his gig at Belgrade's The Tube Club. During the 25-minute interview, he shared his ideas about Serbian American inventor and futurist Nikola Tesla, starting out as a DJ and how to behave like a professional, and Paris Hilton.

Thankfully, Avicii looks to be on the mend and back to his old self since his emergency gall bladder surgery earlier this year. After taking some medically mandated time-off, the marquee Swedish DJ is back playing his regular slate of gigs in Las Vegas. He's also just signed on as the first-ever electronic-music headliner for the KROQ Weenie Roast, an upcoming festival for the LA-based tastemaker radio station that takes place on Saturday, May 31st. Although it appears to be a total disconnect with the alternative rock-leaning crowd, his 2013 breakout single "Wake Me Up" has definitely crossed over to a broader music audience. He'll definitely look to continue to capitalize on that ground swell in the months and years to come.

Ben Watt has definitely made the most of his last 30 years in music. Not only has he launched (and relaunched) a successful solo career, but he's also been behind a number of influential indie labels, a couple of books, and, along with his wife, Tracey Thorn, played an integral role in early dance music with their electronic pop duo Everything But the Girl. Now, 30 years after his first solo turn, he's back working with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and Suede's Bernard Butler on a new album.

The world of breaking records rarely crosses over with the world of making records, but all the same, no matter the industry, new, obscure records are set every day. Take for instance, the record set by Jack Hill, who, at age seven, apparently became the youngest DJ to ever rock a club. Or how about the longest DJ set in history, which supposedly was played for six and a half days by Australia's DJ Hertz?

Deadmau5 has gone all classic-film style on us this time, as he takes Kaskade on a black-and-white-filmed coffee run in his hometown of Toronto. While out on his Redux tour of smaller clubs, Kaskade joined Deadmau5 for a ride to Tim Horton's before he hit Toronto's Coda last Thursday night, and the two chatted about all manner of topics along the way.

Good people. Good vibes. Good Times. Every year during Miami Music Week, Skrillex and his OWSLA team hold their now infamous Good Times party for friends, fans, and followers alike. The two-day event at Wynwood Art District last March presented some of dance music's biggest players going back-to-back including DMC champs duo A-Trak and Craze, Brodinski and Boys Noize, Anna Lunoe and Annie Mac, Benni Benassi and Congorock, and Skrillex himself teaming up with What So Not and Chance The Rapper. Watch it now.
