Steve Reid Foundation // Free Spirits // Berlin 13.10.13 Posted: 27 Sep 2013 08:17 AM PDT Only 3 weeks away until Gilles, Four Tet and Floating Points head to Berlin for this very special Steve Reid fundraiser – Free Spirits,  in collaboration with the JAW family with the aim to raise money for the Steve Reid Foundation. All proceeds raised will go to Steve's close friend & brilliant jazz musician Arthur Blythe who's currently struggling with Parkinson's disease & serious health problems. This fundraiser will also donate €1 of every ticket sold to the Festsaal Kreuzberg club, the previous venue for this event and  very special club in Berlin which sadly got burnt down earlier on this year. This event will bring together an extremely high caliber of live acts and exceptional taste makers for a day & night of independent, improvised & spiritual music for two great causes. Event: Matias Aguayo brings The District Union to Berlin Posted: 22 Aug 2013 05:27 AM PDT Cómeme chief Matias Aguayo performs live with The District Union in Berlin during this year's Berlin Music Week. The first date on September 4th will take them to Berlin's Chalet for the first edition of the showcase event First We Take Berlin. They'll be joint by Coma and some members of the Dorfjungs crew. Two nights later Aguayo and Cómeme's powerful rhythm section play Berlin Festival at Hangar 4, starting at 4 PM. The Berlin jaunt comes after a little tour with Chilean noise-duo Mostro.
