The Martinez Brothers Release Free 10 Track EP; Download it Now

The Martinez Brothers have partnered with fellow New York City cohorts Jesse Calosso and Blas Cordero for the Masters at Dutch project, a free 10-track EP dedicated to their fans. “We made these tracks while we were off,” the brothers say. “We wanted to thank all our fans who have supported us and bought tickets to our shows last year & we hope you know we appreciate you guys! So we’re giving you a collection of tracks for free download so you can check out what we’ve been up to.” The EP is a collection of club-ready tech house cuts, interspersed with intros, outros, and interludes, adding a hip-hop touch to the release.

The Martinez Brothers will land in LA on Thursday for a Cuttin’ Headz showcase, with support from Filsonik and Jesse Calosso. You can get tickets to that show here, with the EP available below.

Citizenn Releases Details of Debut Album

Citizenn

UK house big-hitter Citizenn has released details of his first full-length album,Human Interface.

Set to be released on June 29 via Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels imprint, the album was inspired by humanity’s growing dependence on technology.

The producer, real name Laurence Blake, says each of Human Interface’s eleven tracks are “based on a particular theme of human emotion or technological/mechanical attribute, and its relation to the world of electronic music.”

The album follows EPs released on Waze & Odyssey’s Street Tracks and Kerri Chandler’s Madtech.

Jean-Michel Jarre To Release Three Big-Name Collaborative EPs

JM-J

Pioneering electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre has announced the release of three collaborative 12-inches.

Production of the first EP saw the visionary Frenchman reunite with Tangerine Dream co-founder Edgar Froese before his unexpected passing earlier this year. The result was ‘Zero Gravity’, an ambient synth number which also received a dramatic rework by trance legends Above & Beyond.

The second 12-inch, ‘Watching You’, partners Jarre with Massive Attack’s 3D.

The final EP showcases the touches of hard-hitting techno artist, and fellow Frenchman, Gesaffelstein. The pair spoke about their effort, ‘Conquistador’, in a video last month.

The collaborations, available on June 19th via The Vinyl Factory, serve as a teaser to the release of Jarre’s long-awaited new album later this year.
