After giving Tynethys‘s debut Booth feature a couple spins, I’m still not sure what the titular acronym stands for. But you know what? I’m not worried about it. In fact, I’m not worried about anything; EP single TFZ is as dreamy and relaxing as a bubble bath on Valium. Here, the Sacramento singer/emcee/producer showcases two-thirds of his skillset, transitioning fluidly … Click the link for the stream. |

A 17-year old rap buzzmaker who calls A-Town home, Kevin Abstract makes his first foray into The DJBooth with SAVE, a promotional single premiered earlier this week via Pigeons and Planes. On this hazy, downtempo jam, Romil‘s muted guitar noise and languid rhythm section set the stage for introspective bars from the Alive Since Forever crew … Click the link for the stream. |

Previously heard lending his guest vocals to Cloud 9, a March feature from Swedish singer/songwriter Beldina, Sway Clarke II takes center stage with the release of his latest EP single. On this unique jam, the Berlin-by-way-of-Toronto crooner takes us on a tour of his Secret Garden, home to flowers of every imaginable hue. If the opening … Click the link for the stream. |

Well$‘s last mixtape single, Black Swan, saw the Congolese-American emcee spitting about an exotic dancer with a past full of familial strife and psychic pain. On the freshly-released follow-up he once again uses his skills as a storyteller to illuminate the dark corners of an unlikely character’s mind. This time, though, the stakes are considerably higher. Lil Tommy … Click the link for the stream. |

When I try to envision Tech N9ne recording music, the image in my head looks less like your typical snapshot of a rapper in the booth than a still from a Godzilla flick. To paraphrase his latest single, his sh*t is so Hard, it’s like A Monster Made It. Here, a menacing, organ-led Seven production accompanies the Strange Music capo … Click the link for the stream. |

Rockboy K9‘s first (and, to date, only) Booth feature, January 2013’s Cherry Pie, found him expressing his misgivings regarding rappers’ focus on money above all else. A year and change later, though, paper and the lavish lifestyle it can purchase loom large in his mental. On new promo single and EP inclusion Photoshop, he envisions his ideal future. … Click the link for the stream and download. |

They say love comes and goes, but James Fauntleroy wants to prove "them" wrong. On this freshly-minted promotional single, his fourth in the last eight days, he tells his girl to clear her schedule, ‘cause he wants her Year Round. The record packs production every bit as simple and sweet as its message; Brian Kennedy backs the Cocaine 80s … Click the link for the stream. |

Seeing as this is Lah Kid‘s first DJBooth feature, I’ll give you a pass if you don’t recognize his name or his music. However, after you press play and listen to his unmistakable flow, you will be in trouble if you forget. On Somewhere, Lah makes a strong, memorable first impression. His high-pitched, slicing approach on the mic really stands … Click the link for the stream. |

There are some things that everyone, no matter how different they are or where they come from, can understand. Hip-hop is one example, but another is the feeling of finding a new “special” friend. For proof, look no further than the latest single from DeVin Maze. On Equilibrium, DeVin spins a tale of two gentlemen who couldn’t be any more … Click the link for the stream and download. |
