Recently sprouted NYC label, Lokal Legend , made themselves known in a big way last month with the debut release from Calgary-born vocalist, Kiesza , whose pipes (along with an ace House jam) brought “Hideaway” into the spotlight reaching the charts of Hype Machine and the kind words of Pitchfork simultaneously. Promised with the original mix was a forthcoming remix from Gorgon City , leading me to believe that they very well could have produced the original as well, but either way, it’s a ‘monster’ as advertised.
